Life is so generous and God shows us so much love, that by making us mothers he gives us the greatest experience of love ever, a child is synonymous with happiness, joy, mischief and countless unforgettable moments. Of course, I would be lying if I told you that motherhood is all rosy, because as a mother I know perfectly well that this is an exhausting job, that parenting generates doubts about how well I am doing it, even sometimes protecting my son from his curiosity fills me with stress because danger is present everywhere and even more for a 2 year old who wants to explore everything around him. A mom's world is chaotically perfect, and in order to understand what it truly means to be a child I allowed myself to be born again, with the purpose of offering my little one an adventurous companion in his journey of exploration and a mom who is willing to enjoy every stage of her child's life.
There are days that I think that I am hard with my son Santiago, and then I reproach myself because I know that my nerves show up in dangerous situations and I speak loudly to my little one, the worst thing is that I end up draining my emotions in feelings of guilt. I have read some articles about the complex attitudes of a child at two years old, a stage of exploration where our children become more and more independent from us, and it took months being an overprotective mother, when in fact I should have joined the adventure of my little love, as a companion, as a playmate and as a child, because to understand a child we must put ourselves at their level and feel like them.
Let's play, let's get the most beautiful smile out of our little ones and be happy, being a child is fun, why as a mom I had not allowed myself to make mischief with my son? Like for example, being barefoot with my little one all over the house and playing in the garden with the dirt, spilling water on my clothes because just like my baby I have failed measuring the amount of water he can drink in one gulp, or let's get on the most fun place in our home, it can be the sofa, jumping on the bed is an activity that I have forbidden my little one for being a dangerous activity, but what if jumping on the bed is fun? I experienced jumping on the bed with my son, and it is quite fun, exciting and my son loved my child spirit, my young spirit, my son is not synonymous with old age, my son is the living meaning of being young and take his hands to be his play friend, his mischief partner and to understand that this mother will be with him in every moment of his life, even in his difficult days.
Being a mom is pretty fun, and now that I think about it, there is no time of the day that doesn't turn out to be fun being with my son. Bathing him and coming out with my wet clothes is quite funny, spending hours trying to arrange the clothes in the closet so that in a few seconds Santiago finds a better place for him on the floor is simply epic, even funnier is reaching for the first time the products inside the fridge and biting all the fruits but without finishing eating a single one because the child spotted his fruit strained and the compotes are more delicious for an infant (at least for my son) than any other food specially prepared by mom. And yes, I also tasted the colados de frutas and they are a delight, Santiago is a generous child who shares with everyone his snacks and this makes me very proud.
To educate without shouting, with respect and above all with love, putting ourselves in our children's shoes, is important to begin to understand that they are free and independent beings, and their curiosity is the basis of learning itself for them to explore and know much more their environment and develop their motor skills. To feel as they feel when they reach their goal, when they manage to overcome the barrier of their limits and live to love our day to day as a mother, because being a mother is also fun and it is better to understand that our children one day will grow up and there will be no more jumps or mischief in our home, so let's take advantage of the moment to be moms and be another girl in complicity with our children.

Por supuesto, mentiría si les dijera que la maternidad es toda de color rosa, porque como madre se perfectamente bien que este es un trabajo agotador, que la crianza genera dudas sobre que tan bien lo esté haciendo, incluso algunas veces proteger a mi hijo ante su curiosidad me llena de estrés porque el peligro se encuentra presente en todos lados y más para un niño de 2 años de edad que desea explorar todo a su alrededor. El mundo de una mamá es caóticamemte perfecto, y yo para comprender lo que verdaderamente significa ser niño me permití volver a nacer nuevamente, con el propósito de ofrecerle a mi pequeño una compañera de aventuras en su viaje de exploración y una mamá que está dispuesta a disfrutar cada etapa de la vida de su hijo.

>Existen días que pienso que soy dura con mi hijo Santiago, y luego me reprocho porque se que mis nervios se ponen de manifiesto ante situaciones de peligro y hablo fuerte a mi pequeño, lo peor es que terminó drenado mis emociones en sentimientos de culpa. He leído algunos artículos sobre lo complejo de las actitudes de un niño a los dos años, una etapa de exploración donde nuestros hijos se hacen cada vez muchísimos más independientes de nosotros, y llevó meses siendo madre sobre protectora, cuando en realidad debía sumarme a la aventura de mi pequeño amor, como una compañera más, como una amiga de juegos más y como una niña, porque para entender a un niño debemos ponernos a su nivel y sentirnos como ellos mismo.

>Vamos a jugar, a sacar la más hermosa sonrisa a nuestros pequeños y a ser felices, ser niño es divertido ¿por qué como mamá no me había permitido hacer travesuras con mi hijo? Como por ejemplo, estar descalza con mi pequeño por toda la casa y jugar en el jardín con la tierra, derramar el agua en mi ropa porque al igual que mi bebé he fallado midiendo la cantidad de agua que puede tomar en un solo trago, o vamos a subirnos al lugar más divertido de nuestro hogar, puede ser el sofá, saltar en la cama es una actividad que he prohibido a mi pequeño por ser una actividad peligrosa, pero ¿y qué tal si saltar en la cama es divertido? Experimenté saltar en la cama con mi hijo, y es bastante divertido, emocionante y mi hijo amó mi espíritu de niño, mi espíritu joven, mi hijo no es sinónimo de vejez, mi hijo es el significado vivo de ser joven y tome sus manos para ser su amiga de juegos, su compañera de travesuras y para comprenda que esta madre estará con él en cada momento de su vida, incluso en sus días difíciles.

Y si, también probé los colados de frutas y son una delicia, Santiago es un niño generoso que comparte con todos sus meriendas y esto me llena de muchísimo orgullo.

>Educar sin gritos, con respeto y sobre todo con mucho amor poniendonos en los zapatos de nuestros hijos, es importante para comenzar a comprender que ellos son seres libres e independientes, y su curiosidad es la base del aprendizaje mismo para que ellos exploren y conozcan mucho más su entorno y desarrollen sus capacidades piscomotoras. Sentirnos como ellos mismo se siente cuando alcanzan su objetivo, cuando logran superar la barrera de sus límites y vivir para amar nuestros día a dia como madre, porque ser madre también es divertido y es mejor comprender que nuestros hijos un día crecerán y ya no habrán más saltos, ni travesuras en nuestro hogar, así que aprovechemos el momento para ser mamás y ser otra otra niñas en complicidad con nuestros hijos.
