Monomad: 'Bird Nest'

>This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes.

This time I'm showing the bird's nest macro photos that I edited in black and white. The bird's nest is without occupants; there are only eggs piled in it.

You might think these are real bird nests, but they aren't at all. Yeah, they are *Cyathus striatus* [](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyathus) mushrooms.

Because its shape is very similar to a bird's nest, it is called the bird's nest fungi. The eggs that are piled up inside are not actually eggs, but *Peridioles* or spore capsules.
