Hi Brethren,

I'm contributing to what I learnt today titled *"What is the faith of the thief on the cross written in Luke 23:42-43? (Part 6 of 7)"* 

What does it mean to obey? To obey means to work. As you have put into work those things I have said even my commandments. 

*"Philippians 2:12 As ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling*"

So, we have to work beloveth. And the works we have to do are the good works that God wants us to do. You cannot be saved if you are not going to do good works. Your faith may be enough for salvation, if you are going to live a day or an hour, that is when you are not given more chance to do good works. 

But living or having more days, weeks or months more or years more. After you have received the faith then you have to grow in Christ and growing in Christ is learning on how to do good works.

 The good works are the examples of the works that were done by our LORD Jesus Christ. 

Remember, he is an example and all the good works you are able to do in the short time of time of this life. On earth are our example for us to also do good works not only to those who we always love, but also to our enemies. 

Remember the LORD Jesus Christ says  Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

Matthew 5:44 so, Love your enemies. Feed them, if they are hungry. Give them something to drink if they are thirsty. 

These good works will qualify you for your Salvation. 

Matthew 25:32-40 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a  shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Verse 33. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 

Verse 34. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 

Verse 35. For I was hungry, and ye have me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 

Verse 36. Naked, and ye clothed m: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in the prison, and ye came to m. 

Verse 37.Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, LORD, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 

Verse 38. When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? or 

Verse 39. when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came to thee? 

Verse 40. And the King shall answer and say unto them, verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these, my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 

So, those good works merited them the kingdom of God. 

He will not say that to the criminal on the cross. Or will he say that to the criminal on the cross?

 No!

So, good works is necessary to obtain everlasting kingdom of our LORD Jesus Christ. 

Don't tell me you know the entire bible that good works are not necessary. 

It is can even be the way to SALVATION of men who have no faith to have faith. 

Conclusively, let us not be deceived but determining to practicalise good works.
