Cada día más me enamoro de los insectos, y es que sus formas, colores y funciones son realmente hermosos. A nivel evolutivo, un grupo que ha resistido y avanzado ante las presiones ambientales, y definitivamente han mantenido su éxito reproductivo. En diversas ocasiones ya les he hablado de los tres tagmas característicos de la clase insecta y los recordaré: cabeza, tórax y abdomen.

> Every day I fall in love with insects, and their shapes, colors and functions are truly beautiful. At an evolutionary level, they are a group that has resisted and advanced in the face of environmental pressures, and they have definitely maintained their reproductive success. Hoy encontré esta tijereta, lamentablemente lesionada, pues no tiene una de sus antenas, y eso la hace bajar sus movimientos y sentirse desubicada. Recordemos que estas estructuras le ayudan sensorialmente a dirigir sus movimientos. Son realmente amenazantes para el observador, debido a sus pinzas al final, que tal vez nos recuerdan a un ciempiés o alacrán. La literatura nos dice que son inofensivas, más el miedo es válido, pues debemos cuidarnos en la manipulación de cualquier ejemplar si no es conocido.

> Today I found this earwig, unfortunately injured, because it does not have one of its antennae, and that makes it lower its movements and feel out of place. Let's remember that these structures help it sensorially to direct its movements. They are really threatening to the observer, due to their pincers at the end, which perhaps remind us of a centipede or scorpion. The literature tells us that they are harmless, but the fear is valid, because we must be careful in handling any specimen if it is not known.

Es un dermáptero, y la característica considerada en la clasificación es su tijereta o las pinzas de las que ya les hablé. Tal como se ve en las fotografías, su cuerpo es alargado, aplanado y no alcanzan grandes tamaños. En este caso, mide aproximadamente 1,3 cm. Las fotografías fueron capturadas con mis lentillas macro y micro, adaptadas a mi dispositivo móvil Huawei P20 en modo profesional, y posteriormente editadas en Microsoft Power point.

> It is a dermaptera, and the characteristic considered in the classification is its earwig or the pincers of which I have already spoken. As seen in the photographs, its body is elongated, flattened and does not reach large sizes. In this case, it measures approximately 1.3 cm. También son llamadas cortatijeras, y la encontramos debajo de piedras, en los jardines, entre otros. A diferencia de otros dermápteros, este si posee alas, y estas son llamadas elitroides, con líneas amarillentas. Las pinzas o cercos son usados para la reproducción, y se curvan en los machos. Tal como se aprecia en la fotografía sus piezas bucales nos habla de un insecto masticador. Sus antenas son multisegmentadas.

> They are also called scissor cutters, and we find them under stones, in gardens, among others. Unlike other dermatoptera, this one does have wings, and these are called elitroids, with yellowish lines. The pincers or cerci are used for reproduction, and are curved in males. As can be seen in the photograph, its mouthparts tell us of a chewing insect. Its antennae are multisegmented.

Tal como se aprecia en los gifs y fotografías, el sitio donde ocurre la lesión o pérdida de su antena, tiene una gota de un líquido, posiblemente hemolinfa. También, se pudo observar el movimiento de limpieza que hace de su antena, tal vez, entendiendo que perdió una de ellas y esto limita su desplazamiento.

> As seen in the gifs and photographs, the site where the injury or loss of its antenna occurs, has a drop of a liquid, possibly hemolymph. Also, it could be observed the cleaning movement of its antenna, perhaps, understanding that it lost one of them and this limits its displacement.

La naturaleza es asombrosa y las formas que en ella encontramos así lo reafirman. A pesar de que para muchos puede ser una plaga, este espécimen solo quiere una cosa, y coincide con todos y es vivir, y definitivamente, gracias a sus funciones en naturaleza, se mantiene el equilibrio.
