You definitely are getting better. You have an eye for shooting, so don't doubt that. It's just figuring out the right techniques to make what you want happen. You're also developing a very recognizable black and white style, which is awesome. For me this image could use some better fill to give a subtle shadow with a bit more detail, or increase the contrast more to create a higher ratio. Black and white is a bitch to get the contrast just right :\ Have confidence my friend! :)
