A "total amount earned per year" feature would greatly help with paying taxes

I've never even made enough per year to need to pay taxes on it before, but if I continue to have trending posts like I have recently it's something I will need to start keeping track of. An in-profile tool which keeps track of the total amount earned on a per-year basis would be a big help. 

Are there plans for this?

In the USA today bitcoin and crypto including STEEM is considered property like a gameboy, you don't have to pay tax just for holding onto your gameboy. When you sell that gameboy for 100k you pay capital gains tax. If you spend the bitcoin without converting into USD all you have to worry about is the sales tax. Until politicians decide they want to leech more of our hard earned wealth for doing nothing but sitting at a desk signing laws only poor people have to obey.

I could be wrong but you would get taxed by what you take out not what you would on as interest. So if you take out $5k worth of steem and convert it to USD then you would be taxed for $5k as that would be considered income. 

Please correct me if I am wrong or over simplified it.
