Hello community how are you? I hope you're starting the day in a nice way.

Today's post is thanks to a movie I saw yesterday that is titled The Great Showman. As I saw it came to mind the word __risk__ and that is just what Barnum does-one of the protagonist.

Since childhood we have heard the phrase the person who does not risk does not win and is completely true, the problem is when we do not measure correctly what we risk, what we must do to have a probability of winning and say probability because until Triumph we have not won or have not reached a goal that we have proposed.

Having said that, we could classify the act of taking risks in two ways.

1. Take risks taking into account the consequences.
2. Take risks without taking into account the consequences.

How does one differ from each other?

The first is when we evaluate the pros and cons that brings if we decide to risk doing something or not, while the second is not evaluated absolutely nothing, we simply do it because we want, by impulse, by ignorance, etc.

Then. __¿How do we know when to risk doing something?__ 

First we must remember that any decision we choose has its consequences, its risks and obviously worse or better than others, so we use the word to risk.

In my opinion, I would say a method to know whether we should do something or not be the next. Putting on a balance the negative consequences of one side and the positives in the other, if the latter is below the other we can say that __is something we should do, is a risk that is worth running.__

Let's see the next example.

You walk quickly because you go just 1 minute late to work, and you have to reach the other of the street and for that you have 2 options, take the pedestrian bridge or cross the street directly knowing that has a high vehicular flow and decide the second option , you start to skip the buses, cars and roads that travel through it because walking to the bridge you're going to delay 1 minutes more.

If instead of going out of the way to cross the street, we think about things well and locate the consequences of choosing that option on a scale would be something like that.

Clearly the negative consequences have more weight than the positive so it is a huge mistake to cross the street. So ¿why do people do it?
