实际上对于Dao可以描述为一种蜂群思维，也是在指很多独立的单元可以相互连结并且形成一个高度活跃的一个整体的系统，通常似乎是处于计算机和互联网领域的状态。当然对于Dao当然是为了人们可以开放一个非常理想的状态，并且里面的人可以在没有领袖的状态之下进行去中心化运作的方式。 当然这也好像是一群蚂蚁，人多力量大利用了大海的智慧，而不是一个人的智慧，大家的通力合作可以帮助一个团队拥有无穷大的力量，并且生成看不见的手，在这整个群体里面可以完成更多一个人不可能完成的事情。 DAO 在无领袖，没有固定的员工也没有任何种族国界高低区分的乌托邦理想，并且在Dao里面做的任何事情可以被智能合约约束起来，在这个dao第一次成功的众筹了1200万之后，却发生了改变历史的意外事件，就是被黑客偷走了，根据以太坊的漏洞。 但是由于Dao所遵从的理想， 2016 出现的Dao概念虽然挽救了资金还是没有坚持下去，而最后被瓦解，但是在2021年重出山头。DAO 就像古希腊城邦的直接民主制度。
