Hello, <br><br>
These days, a friend called me from the university where we studied together. We talked about everything, including our studies. We weren't bad students, on the contrary, I had a scholarship, which helped a lot. I also try to explain this to my son: good performance should be worthwhile, but he should also be able to choose the fields he want to high perform.<br><br>
Unlike many other students, we enjoyed our studies. There wasn't a week when we didn't party for three days. Even during the week, we went to one of the best after-hours house clubs in Eastern Europe on Sundays from 5 to 10 o'clock.<br><br>
Nevertheless, we both graduated from university, even a technical university, with good grades. Many people say that you have to study a lot and spend a lot of time in the library. That would have been very boring for both of us. But when the time came to study, we dropped everything and focussed on the exams. There were only eight weeks in the year when you had to study, so we developed a mechanism to absorb more. We divided it into chapters and only learnt the main points, especially in maths and physics. We derived everything from that. It was easier to prove a theorem ourselves than to learn the whole maths.<br><br>
It was important for us to have an understanding for the first time. We invested most of our time here to create an understanding so that we knew what we were learning in the first place. We had colleagues who learnt everything by heart, but that wasn't our goal. Today you can find information everywhere, but it is more difficult to understand a topic.<br><br>
So we organised the information into topics, created understanding and then simply deduced everything.<br><br>
Even though we have long since completed our studies, we continue to learn. I read for about an hour a day to acquire new knowledge.

Dieser Tage rief mich ein Freund von der Universität an, an der wir zusammen studiert haben. Wir haben uns über alles unterhalten, auch über unser Studium. Wir waren keine schlechten Studenten, im Gegenteil, ich hatte ein Stipendium, das hat sehr geholfen. Das versuche ich auch meinem Sohn zu erklären, gute Leistungen sollen sich lohnen, aber er soll sie sich auch aussuchen können.<br><br>
Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Studenten haben wir unser Studium genossen. Es gab keine Woche, in der wir nicht 3 Tage lang gefeiert haben. Auch unter der Woche waren wir sonntags von 5 bis 10 Uhr in einem der besten After-Hours House Clubs Osteuropas. <br><br>
Trotzdem haben wir beide die Universität, sogar eine technische Universität, mit guten Noten abgeschlossen. Viele sagen, dass man viel lernen und viel Zeit in der Bibliothek verbringen muss. Für uns beide wäre das sehr langweilig gewesen. Aber als die Zeit zum Lernen kam, haben wir alles stehen und liegen gelassen und uns auf die Prüfungen konzentriert. Es gab nur acht Wochen im Jahr, in denen man lernen musste, und da haben wir einen Mechanismus entwickelt, wie wir mehr aufnehmen konnten. Wir haben es in Kapitel eingeteilt und nur die Hauptpunkte gelernt, vor allem in Mathematik und Physik. Davon haben wir alles abgeleitet. Es war einfacher, ein Theorem selbst zu beweisen, als die ganze Rechnung zu lernen.<br><br>
Wichtig für uns war, dass wir zum ersten Mal ein Verständnis hatten. Hier haben wir die meiste Zeit investiert, um ein Verständnis zu schaffen, damit wir überhaupt wissen, was wir lernen. Wir hatten Kollegen, die alles auswendig gelernt haben, aber das war nicht unser Ziel. Heute kann man überall Informationen finden, aber es ist schwieriger, ein Thema zu verstehen.<br><br>
Wir haben also die Informationen in Themen gegliedert, Verständnis geschaffen und dann einfach alles abgeleitet. <br><br>
Auch wenn wir unser Studium schon lange abgeschlossen haben, lernen wir weiter. Ich lese etwa eine Stunde am Tag, um mir neues Wissen anzueignen.
