I arrived in the USA last night. After the usual chaos at JFK airport, I rented a car and then drove to my hotel in Connecticut. It's not far from New York City, but it's much quieter and the countryside is greener. It also has a European resemblance.
<br><br>
I was consciously awake at 5 a.m. local time, which is 11 a.m. in Europe. I have no problems with the time difference as I went to bed late the night before. Most of the time it works and for 90% of my trips there is no jet lag. Today I started the day as I would at home. I worked out in the hotel gym, even though it is rather basic. But with what was available, I was able to train really well by doing the exercises in such a way that I was able to build up enough muscle tension. Today it was my back's turn and tomorrow it will be my chest's turn. I still have to think about something for the legs, but there may be calisthenics solutions. Then I'll have a coffee for the glycogen boost.

I always try to stick to my daily routine when I'm traveling. It gives me a good feeling and more energy during the day. What's it like for you? Do you also work out?

Ich bin gestern Abend in den USA angekommen. Nach dem üblichen Chaos am JFK-Flughafen habe ich ein Auto gemietet und bin dann zum Hotel in Connecticut gefahren. Es ist nicht weit von New York City entfernt, aber es ist deutlich ruhiger und die Natur grüner. Es hat auch eine europäische Ähnlichkeit.<br><br>
Ich war bewusst um 5 Uhr Ortszeit wach, was 11 Uhr in Europa entspricht. Ich habe keine Probleme mit der Zeitverschiebung, da ich am Abend zuvor spät ins Bett gegangen bin. Meistens funktioniert es und bei 90 % meiner Reisen gibt es keinen Jetlag. Heute habe ich den Tag wie zu Hause gestartet. Ich war im Hotel-Fitnessstudio trainieren, auch wenn dieses eher einfach ausgestattet ist. Mit dem, was vorhanden ist, konnte ich aber super trainieren, indem ich die Übungen so ausgeführt habe, dass sich genug Muskelspannung aufbauen konnte. Heute war der Rücken dran und morgen ist die Brust an der Reihe. Für die Beine muss ich mir noch etwas überlegen, wobei es da die Calisthenics-Lösungen geben kann. Danach gibt es einen Kaffee für den Glykogen-Boost. <br><br>
Ich versuche auf Reisen immer, meinen eingespielten täglichen Ablauf beizubehalten. Das gibt mir ein gutes Gefühl und mehr Energie am Tag. Wie ist es bei euch? Trainiert ihr auch?

@alexvan gute Ansätze - als ich in jungen Jahren noch Traum hatte Profi zu werden war ich immer aktiv, selbst nach dem 2. Kreuzband Riss und Meniskusschaden war ich 5mal die Woche im Gym, Radeln und Schwimmen und hatte einen durchgegetakteten Trainingsplan für jede Muskelgruppe. Nach Studium und Frau hat sich alles geändert - Aktuell mach ich gar nix mehr :-)

Man sieht es dir an, dass du viel Sport in der Jugend gemacht hast. Das Muskelgedächtnis wäre da bei dir, musst aber die Faulheit überwinden und starten.

Muskelgedächtnis in der Tat, wenn ich mal wieder was mache erinnert sich der Körper recht schnell, kaum Muskelkater.
