hiveblocksMany people in the crypto world is worried after seeing the LTC halving which you can say was fail halving. Halving is the purpose to take the price up but with this halving the price went down and people get disappointed with that.
I wrote a detail post few months ago about halving and same thing I mentioned about halving. That it is not necessary to take the price up but sometimes halving takes the price downside.
Why price decrease happens? One of the reason is that when investors and traders see halving closer they start buying the coin which takes the price up before halving. But after the cycle the price goes down this is because whales exit from the coin.
Which means that you have been dropped sweet so that you enter the coin in the lure of halving. This is one of the strategies of the whales and group of people that happens in the price down.
One of the another reason why price falls is that after seeing halving impact on the price and the price doesnot change, investors starts selling their coin that takes the price down temporary. They think that the price has not any impact upon halving and that is why they sell their holdings.
Because we have set our mind that halving will surely take the price up. And when some times we see that there is no impact of price after halving we get panic and starts selling our coin. This is another scenario that is panic which takes the price down just after halving.
Wise investors and traders invest their money in a coin which has halving closer. They invest very early because as halving comes closer the price rise slowly. When they see that they have meet their selling point and they are enough to book profit they sell all their holdings.
The example of halving is just like the stock dividend share. Just suppose KAPCO share which is the best dividend one. When people see that dividend time for KAPCO is closer they start buying and the price goes slowly upward.
# What should have happened after LTC halving?
Before the date of dividend they sell their shares because they already met their profit ratio. Which takes the price down and those who invested near to dividend date will stuck with the share.
It's important to note that while halvings can lead to short-term price volatility, their impact on the long-term trajectory of a cryptocurrency's price is more complex.
Sometimes after a month of halving the price may go upward which is possible. Therefore, its better to hold that coin for long term which will surely benefit you. We have BTC halving closer and dont expect that the price will sky rocket.
Its also possible that the price may go down which is against our expectations.

The thing about halving is that the timing is known well in advance so the price gets factored in along the way, not at the instant of halving. LTC is still up 44% vs. 1 year ago.

You don't get the point of a halving at all. The whole and only point is to reduce supply and rate of inflation for the coin. The LTC halving did just that without the network taking any kind of hit and because of that the halving was a success. The only fail came from those who gambled on a price increase and didn't get it.
