X Blue Metrics Report, April 8, 2024
The best thing about coming down from a high is the expectation of a new high.

Two weeks ago, I reported that my impressions (and very every other metric on X) [attained to a new high](https://inleo.io/@allentaylor/i-hit-a-new-high-x-blue-metrics-report-for-march-25-2024) on the X platform. Last week, the majority of my metrics were [down from that high](https://inleo.io/@allentaylor/x-blue-analytics-report-april-1-2024). Well, they have continued to decline and are now near the bottom, and I'm not a bit disappointed.

Knowing that there are reasons for this decline brings me great comfort. Two weeks ago, I was able to pre-post a week's worth a social media content on Twitter. The next week, I was not fortunate enough to be able to do that. This past week, even less. What this tells me is that the more often one posts on X, even if the quality of the posts are mediocre, the more likely one is to see positive results. That doesn't mean I'm defending mediocrity.

The only metric that increased this past week is engagement rate. It rose 17 percent after falling 23 percent last week and rising 5.9 percent the week before. It now stands midway between the 4.2 percent it was two weeks ago and 3.3 percent it was last week. This week, my engagement rate is 3.8 percent.

Impressions are less than half what they were last week and 3,736 less than two weeks ago. Likewise, profile visits, link clicks, new followers, replies, likes, and reposts are all down. Still, though down 55 percent, I managed to pick up 9 new followers this past week. I also lost a few, putting follower count at 415, three less than it was this time last week.

Again, I'm not disappointed. These numbers fluctuate over time. As far as followers go, I'd rather have people following me who are really interested in my content than to have people following me because they expect me to follow them back. I suspect that some of the lost followers this past week are people who followed me the week before and left when I didn't reciprocate. My response: *Sayonara*, Baby!

Let's get granular.

## Impressions and Engagement
In the last 28 days, my posts have seen 12.3 thousand impressions. Over the past 7 days, that number is 1.7 thousand. The highest number was on Thursday, April 4 when my posts saw 302 organic impressions. 

Taking a look at the graph, impressions stair-stepped their way up from 122 on Tuesday, April 2 and stair-stepped their way down to 93 today.

Engagement rate this past 7 days was 3.6 percent. The highest engagement was Saturday, April 6 when my posts saw 7.4 percent engagement rate. Retweets averaged 1 per day over the 7-day period.

Likes averaged 4 likes per day this past 7 days. The best day for likes on my posts was April 6 when my posts saw 15 likes. Replies averaged one per day this past week.

Now, let's look at the top posts for the week.

## Top Posts
The top post this week garnered 109 impressions. Published on Wednesday, April 3, [this long post](https://twitter.com/Allen_Taylor/status/1775535718003097694) was repurposed from Hive and discusses the benefits of compound staking. 

The post with the second highest number of impressions, with 38, was published on Thursday, April 4. It was a frivolous post delineating the [list of things to make great again](https://twitter.com/Allen_Taylor/status/1776066679279133065), from A to Z.

The post with the third highest number of impressions, at 34, was a meme spoofing Jesus being [born during medieval times](https://twitter.com/Allen_Taylor/status/1775984283867312423). The post was published on April 4.

Three posts tied with the highest number of engagements, at 3. These posts were:

1. The post with the highest number of engagements.
2. A post published Tuesday, April 2, repurposed from Hive, [showcasing my X Blue metrics](https://twitter.com/Allen_Taylor/status/1775253601016844631) from two weeks before.
3. Another post published on Wednesday, April 3 where I share my [earnings from Web3 social media](https://twitter.com/Allen_Taylor/status/1775526503284875353) during the month of March 2024.

Engagement rate is a different matter entirely. The post with the highest engagement rate saw a 33.3 percent engagement rate. Published on April 4, it was a post about [how Christians shortchange faith](https://twitter.com/Allen_Taylor/status/1775898032900608298). 

The second highest engagement rate this past 7 days was 21.4 percent. The aforementioned post on Web3 social earnings takes that prize.

With an engagement rate of 20 percent, a post sharing my @actifit activity for April 4 took the third place prize for engagement rate.

As you can see from these stats, the type of post that can obtain a higher impression count, engagement rate, or raw engagement numbers is pretty diverse. This week, I'm going to focus on bringing back higher numbers.
