Splinterlands is such a fantastic game on hive platform and it's great that the gaming project has completed 5 years. This is indeed a great milestone and as a player or investors we should be happy that the game has come a long way. Most of us are aware that it's hard for any project to survive so long if it doesn't growth and with Splinterlands we have seen tremendous growth in the past and even now there are many assets (preferably cards) 5hat are still available at a higher price than we had prior to sps spike time.

#### SPS added more attention

While I have completed almost 3.5 years on the game and this has been such a great journey so far. I have been enjoying the game since the day 1 and there are some sort of excitement with the gamification most of the time. 

The launch of sps token in the game was indeed a great step to make it more popular across the segment. It was the time when the game was leading in the charts in terms of active users and even now when the bear market is going on then also we can see it doing well. It is the first ever game that had provided year long AirDrop for sps token and I have never seen a project distributing tokens like it. In a way the splinterlands had set up an example with airdrop and I don't expect that this is going to be replaced soon. 


#### Focused development
 This bear market affected many projects and splinderlands is also the one so they had to leave many of their team members but took it on positive notes and also communicated with the community about their plans and how they are going to focus more on the development. Bull cycle is the time when people make money but in bear market ita time to build and I am glad to see that they're following the same approach. They have been focused on development and even now they are we get to know some update with almost every town hall and this is an outcome of their hardwork.


#### Changes are good

It's a need to bring change time to time for value addition and it's good to see that are trying to bring changes for the betterment of gane. As we know that SPS stake is an upcoming change that we are about to get in the next quarter. With this change implementation we may expect better token value for SPS and I believe team has gone through all the aspects to deal with post the changes go live in the game.


#### Lands and Node Validator

While the game is doing well and growing but at the same time they have also decided to make it more fun along with decentralization. Lands are surely going to be a game changer and we are about to get lands 1.5 soon but with validator node licence more power is given to the community. The project will not lie in one hand instead it will be more community driven and this is how the change is going to drive the innovation and decentralization in Splinterlands.


Many other things are also on the way that we can check in the road map which was a shared so we are aware and there is no surprise for us. Even the SPS stake change was not surprise for me and there are multiple updates on that to keep us informed in advance which is the purpose. 

#### Variety of Assets

There are multiple digital assets in the game along with cards. It's a card game and we need more and better cards to make the gaming fun and also to increase the winning ratio and reward. Other than cards there are many assets that can be a good investment and land is surely one of them to go for. Other assets like booster packs have done well in the past so so we may expect better returns with the current edition as well in the long run.

To summarise, I believe that things will be much more valuable in the coming years and now is a good time when the market is in the bearish trend. Although it's not a financial advice but I continue to accumulate more assets this time and I like that most of the stuffs are available at discount.
