I am in crypto since the year 2017 but I have to admit that the last 2 years have been amazing in this journey as I got to know a bunch of options where I can invest and build my portfolio. I believe that investing is a journey and there is a lot to learn and explore. The more we explore, the more we get to know new things and this is what helps us a lot to try new things. With splinterlands, I can say that I had joined this game in late 2019 just because I wanted to play any game in my spare time and there was no such thought that this can be so big. I was not at all aware of things in the game and that's why I missed the opportunity to buy untamed packs since I was not aware of it and even during the DICE launch my knowledge was more and less the same.

With the passage of time, I started exploring more and also started reading the post shared by amazing players and creators here on this platform and this worked in my favor. I started liking the content about splinterlands because through this I was able to learn new tips and strategies and then I also started investing in the game. I invested but now I think that I could have done even more but that's ok because the past is gone by and now is the time to buy in the present for the future.

There are many things to invest in the game and I am investing in some of the assets for the long term. These assets are

* Cards
* Chaos Legion Packs
* DEC Token
* SPS Token

So there are the instruments where I am focused and adding more value slowly. Its not one day game that I buy everything in one go and then wait for the right time instead I am investing in parts. Its like I am accumulating assets and this accumulation is also helping me to get an increase on this. So now I am explaining the reasons why I am investing in these 4 assets as of now and what is my holding strategy here.

#### Cards
Cards are the primary part of the game because without cards we can't play the game and from the gaming point of view its the first thing that we need after the starter pack to start with. Although we get some basic cards to start the gameplay but if you are looking for a great and rewarding game experience then its highly recommended to buy the cards and increase the deck. Now since we already have collection power in place so the more power we hold make us are eligible for higher league and ofcourse higher league gives us the opportunity to earn a higher reward in the daily quest as well as after season end.

#### Chao Legion Packs

I have purchased over 400 CL packs in first sale and general which has also given me the benefits of some airdrop cards. Its the first time, I invested more in the packs because history says that packs have given a significant rise in the price. We surely have the option to open the packs and see what they can bring for us but holding for the long term is also not less profitable. This is not guaranteed and it can even take more time but even with pack opening its not assured that we can get legendary and its totally on our luck. I am planning to have 100 CL packs sitting idle in my account and for that reason, I am accumulating more packs.

#### DEC Token

Its the currency of the game and we can use this token to buy everything except CL packs as of now however holding more DEC also increase the daily drop of SPS token. When airdrop was started that time I was holding only about 100k tokens but now I hold over 900 tokens and I am much closer to reaching 1 million tokens soon. DEC price has dropped a lot and I think that this is the right time to bag a good number of tokens and enjoy the increase daily and also a great opportunity to book profit later or even buy some powerful cards. Since I have increased my DEC holding so it helped me to increase the SPS drop.

#### SPS Token

SPS is Splintershards token and its a governance token of splinterlands game. In any project, a governance token brings some additional features and privileges to its holders and the same is happening here as well. I hold over 24k SPS tokens and in a week I will be crossing the 25k mark. This is definitely a very good amount and I am not going through the current value of the token. I see huge potential with SPS and this is why I am increasing my SPS stake because I am sure that it will bring many benefits in the future and its the right time to accumulate more tokens. I am getting over 100 tokens through daily drop but I am also buying the tokens and this is helping to increase my SPS stake fatser.

I have a portfolio in which I hold a variety of coins with different amounts and I also buy from time to time whenever I see some dip in the market so I call it my standard crypto portfolio. Now with splinterlands, I have another portfolio where I have tokens along with some other digital assets and these are not less than any coin. Its just a matter of time and we never know can all get heated up and the price might start growing. So I am holding my assets tightly and even trying to increase my holding through regular accumulation.
