How my SPS Stake is Growing..

I am one of the people who try to build things for the long term and its because in the past my long-term investment has done pretty well. Here at hive also I have the same fundamentals and keep on building things for the long term. SPS is one of the tokens on splinterlands that I have been accumulating since the beginning and I am a big-time believer in the token economy. Splintershards is a [governance](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-governance) token of splinterlands and this will bring many opportunities for the holders. I have a goal to have a 100k [SPS](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-splintershards-sps) stake and for this, I have been accumulating throuhg airdrop as well as buying from the market.

Recently SPS has been added to the reward pool so now we are getting SPS [tokens](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-token) as season and focus rewards. This is good for sure and I expect that now since the price is low so we can accumulate more tokens. Earlier [DEC](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-dark-energy-crystal-dec) token was part of the reward pool but now this has been removed and SPS is the new reward token. SPS has got a nice use case in the splinterlands ecosystem and we can buy much more in the game. Be it cards, packs, licenses, etc and we can get it all using SPS tokens.

#### My SPS Holding

I have got almost 60k SPS tokens staked in my account and approx 6k in liquid. I am keeping this liquid because I am planning to do some shopping in the game and I did buy these tokens from the market. Whatever is locked will remain the same as I don't want to touch it because this will reduce my daily SPS earning that I am getting throuhg the stake. Currently, the offered [APR](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-annual-percentage-return-apr) is 33.23% and this is not bad at all when we only have an SPS token. There are some pools that are offering higher APR but for that, we also need another coin and I don't have any as of now. This APR includes the SPS and voucher tokens and I am happy with this amount.

#### SPS Stake APR

This APR was almost 40% a week back and not its reduced but this keeps on fluctuating and that is normal. I have almost 60k SPS tokens staked in my account and I earn approx 25 SPS per day and about 3 vouchers. This is a good amount I believe because this way I can add approx 700k SPS through the reward. I know that this way is not enough for me to reach 100k and this is why I buy the tokens from the market when I see a buying opportunity. SPS price was raised after the launch of riftwatchers presale and now its approx 0.13 hive. I did buy some SPS when it was 0.10 hive so I get 10 SPS for each hive. I am waiting for that price to come back and then buy some.

I will be trying my best to reach 100k SPS by the year-end and if the hive price increases or the SPS price decreases then I can buy early. Its market and we can not predict the next movement but keeping an eye is important. You never know when you can get an opportunity to get something at discount and this is why its very important to keep some funds that can be utilized for this purpose. I have seen a proposal that SPS should be rewarded to land holders and it seems like passed so if this is implemented then I will earn some SPS through lands. Let's see when this becomes a reality and I look forward to seeing it happen soon.

It was awesome when SPS was first launched and the staking was earning like 150%.  I wish it was still that high, but I can't really complain about 30%.  Good luck trying to reach your goal.  It sounds like you are well on your way!  Getting SPS from lands will be nice too.
