SPS Staking APR at 18.3% but still a better option in Splinterlands

The crypto market is a well-known Segment for generating passive incomes as there are multiple projects offering some rewards for holding their tokens. Even we have the option to deposit our cryptocurrency on certain platforms where we are rewarded with a certain percentage of APR that can be considered as a passive income. In an idle scenario when we deposit the crypto or the native token on the platform then the APR is not so high and it is somewhere around 8-10% including stable coins. What if I say that you can earn almost 20% by staking the token which is not even a stable coin but returns are way higher? We also Cannot ignore the fact that we are getting a significant apr on the holding and the price appreciation is always a possibility in this market so there can be dual benefits.

### SPS Current APR


Splintershard (SPS) is the governance token of the splinterlands game and since the launch, we have been given the option to deposit the token and earn rewards in the form of SPS as well. this option is very good because we can earn more SPS tokens by keeping the holding in the game account in staking form. this is good because we can consider it as passive income where we just need to deposit the holding and the rest is done by the platform itself. The reward is distributed in the form of liquid tokens so if you want to sell out in the market then you can however it is a better idea to grow the holding by reinvesting. I have been doing it since the beginning and this has helped me to accumulate a good holding in the game even now when the APR is low then also I find it profitable.

As you can see that the current APR is 18.3% and based on my holding I earn approximately 35 SPS tokens in a day. There is also an additional reward for holding sps in the form of glx because that is also part of the airdrop which is ongoing by the Genesis League. If I consider the daily reward of 35SP then in a month I earn approximately 1000 SPS which I think is a good amount. I'm not focused on the current value which I know is low but my approach is for the long term and now since we know that the token is going to be much more valuable in the game ecosystem, so It's more important to grow the holding.

### Reward is higher with in-game SPS 


I did the calculation for my sps holding which is more than 100K at the moment and here is what I can see which is pretty good and I'm happy to have it. I get SPS, GLX and voucher tokens daily just by holding SPS. Although the current price is low and if we go with the current value then it is just $1.06 and I agree that it is very low but if we go with the APR then it is 22% and now since I'm not going to sell at this price so the current market value is not the concern for me.

I am getting three tokens in a day just for holding one token then I think it is one of the best deals that I can get in the game ecosystem and this is the reason why I am saying that holding sps at the current APR is also a better option. this will continue to happen because whatever tokens I hold in-game account will keep on generating some reward.

### SPS Goal

As I already mentioned that I am happy with whatever rewards are generated based on my holding and even I am trying to grow it more so that by the time the change is implemented then I should be able to have a good balance in my account. My goal is to have 160 KSPS in my account as soon as possible & this is because I plan to play in Diamond League post the change implementation in the game. I play games every day and with my current collection power I'm able to play in Diamond however I limit myself in Gold but with the upcoming change, I prefer to be in Diamond League for a better gaming experience and better reward of course.

I have shared my current holding snapshot above and as of now I hold 104K so from here I need to accumulate approximately 56k SPS tokens in total to be there hopefully the market situation will be good then it will be easy for me to be there. I expect that the SPS is going to be much more valuable in the game and at least ten X from the current price is highly anticipated. $1 SPS is possible but I believe it is going to take some time to look at the current market sentiment and how people are doing in the game ecosystem but it is quite possible and I will not be surprised if it happens in the bull run.
