[SPS Node validator licence](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-sps-node-validator-license) is one of the assets in the game which is quite expensive. Now the [price](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-price) of this asset is much lower in the market but still higher on the game website so I'm not sure why people are selling these cheap in the market when it was never available for that price to buy on the website. There could be one reason that people who can buy at a low price in the market are selling it now to get some profit out of it. Another reason could be the development because it was expected that the licence would be going live in 2023 and the year is almost gone as we are left with just four months approximately but there has been no update about the node validator license.

There is no update about validator whether any development is happening or not on this side because the team has not shared any communication related to this and they are focused on various other components including [land](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-land) and many other stuff to make the game better. undoubtedly they are working on the development because we get to see many improvements coming to the game. Still, it seems the validator part is kept aside and not given much attention. The idea of bringing this asset is to drive more decentralisation on the game and make the community run it which is good. Still, for that, we also need to see when it is going to be enabled so that the community can contribute to the game operation.
I purchased 1 node license last year in October for $2000. Although it was available on the game website for a higher amount and this is why I bought it for 4000 hive from the [hive-engine](https://hive-engine.com/). At that time price for a hive token was $0.50 and since I paid 4000 hive so the value I paid was 2k as per the market price at that time. Today I was checking the price for a node validator licence in the open market and it is much lower. I mean we can get it for 1888 hive as of now and this value is just approximately $528 considering the hive price is $0.28 and now I feel that I bought it at the wrong time.

My decision to buy the asset was not wrong because I did it for the long term but I believe that the timing was bad since when I purchased that time the pricing was high so I should have waited. if I buy it now then I can get it for just about a little more than $500 which I think is a very low price as compared to what I paid last year. I get approximately twenty sps along with four vouchers in a day and the value is not much because of the market impact since the [SPS](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-splintershards-sps) price is less than $0.02.

This is the crypto [market](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-market) and we do not know how the pricing is going to change over the market because things keep on changing. We can't predict how things are going to happen in the next few months or a year and when I purchased this asset at that time it was in much demand because a lot of people were buying. I had to wait for a couple of days to get my order fulfilled but see now how things have changed when people are not even ready to buy at this price which is not half of the price that I paid. I still feel that it is just a matter of time but I have put a pause on buying another licence for now which I discussed in past because I don't know how things are going to work. Earlier I wanted to buy another license because I thought it was going to add more value to my account but even with the one I have it just kept idle and paid me some sps as part of the holding reward. As far as I know, this is one of the asset that will be generating SPS tokens but it is going to be valuable only when the price of sps token appreciate.

I have no plan to sell my licence but buying another is not decided yet because I don't think it is a good time to think about it and invest in something like this. Better I would prefer to invest in other assets preferably S P S where I can get some better rewards in the game because this will allow me to have a higher multiplier. But again I would like to mention here that it is a crypto market and anything that is available at a low price does not mean it has lost its value because when the market recovers then it will gain its value back so plan things accordingly as you never know which assets can be much more valuable in the bull cycle and you feel like you missed the opportunity.
