Living in Caracas is a blessing, its residents inhabit a wonderful valley and when we pass to the other side of the imposing Waraira Repano or El Avila mountain, the mountain that is located to the north, we will find nothing more and nothing less than the Caribbean Sea in all its fullness.
Going down from Caracas to the coastal state of La Guaira, where the central coast is located, is a spectacle because it involves crossing the mountain and then descending to approach the Caribbean Sea and find yourself at its feet.
The beach for the residents of the Venezuelan capital is thus something very accessible and common.
But beyond the common, the most frequented and accessible to the east and west of the coast, there are options not to get bored and explore for lovers of adventure and discovery.
In this opportunity, we will turn to the east of the coast so that once we pass through the city of La Guaira with its main tourist settlements, we will go to Naiguatá and beyond this fishing village, we will feel the breeze on our faces and the breeze will ruffle our hair and we will be able to feel the sensation of approaching the tourist city of "Los Caracas".
After this important point on the map begins the journey along the green coast of La Guaira. Our final land destination is the town of Chuspa, but to get there, the road will become more and more a road of steep curves that goes into thick tropical vegetation and we will go through about 5 or 7 villages that have a very interesting history.
It happens that these lands, being very close to old cocoa foundations, were chosen by the population of our ancestors of African origin to establish their Quilombos, which were the places where they took refuge when they were slaves and managed to escape from their masters.
This explains the ethnological composition so rich in the cultural diversity of the people who currently inhabit all these villages on this part of the coast and who enrich this region with their music, dances, and other customs.
Chuspa is precisely the last town on this strip, it could also be said to be the last town in the east of the state of La Guaira. At this point, La Guaira joins the state of Miranda, which is also a region of great maritime wealth with beautiful beaches and cocoa crops of the best quality in the world.
When we arrived at Chuspa we noticed that the main activity that takes place in this small town occurs in the dock of boats, "peñeros" or maritime boats transporting tourists that go from that place to the secluded beaches, they are beaches of the continental shelf, but it is not possible to access them by land, the only way to get there is by sea. The nearest beach is less than 5 minutes away and the farthest is less than 10 minutes away. The beaches most visited by tourists are El Indio beach, Banquito beach, and Caribe beach.
This was the third time we came to enjoy these beaches, the first time was in 2009 when I was pregnant with the youngest of my sons, we rented a lodge that was high at night we could see sea turtles in the sea. The second time, Isaac the youngest was one year old and we rented a house to celebrate Father's Day, on both occasions we stayed for 3 days and this third time we came with my husband and my 4 children, with Amelie, a few months ago and it was unforgettable, to see my family there united and enjoying together a landscape that they like so much.
For this trip we included ourselves in a full day that organizes a travel and tourism promoter that you can find on their Instagram as [Posada Los Almendrones](https://www.instagram.com/posadalosalmendrones/) they take care of the transfer from Caracas in a bus with very good conditions, includes the peñero Beach umbrellas and chairs, a welcome cocktail, breakfast, lunch, and snack. They do their job very well providing an excellent service that leaves you wanting to repeat the experience.
Now I write about what I like most about these beaches, first of all, the color of the sea in them of a variety of very bright blues, the temperature is usually warm although in some months tends to be warmer for our tropical taste, but in general for most people in the world will consider them quite warm.

The temperament of the sea varies according to the season of the year, but for some time what can be a very strong sea becomes a lagoon-like sea so calm that it is possible to snorkel very calmly and take the opportunity to see the wealth of fish, corals and other species.
On the shores the sand is fine and not at all annoying, there is vegetation where to take refuge and the best thing is that how access to them is not easy they are not very crowded and the stay becomes super relaxed, at this point I particularly give a lot of value.
I dived into the sea and enjoyed it a lot, the happiness of my children here is priceless, my daughter is a water lover and also so daring so she gave us a lot to do because she is not afraid of the sea and behaves very risky so we have to have a lot of energy to keep up with her without restricting her impulse and protecting her at the same time.
We were installed in Playa Caribe most of the time, but around noon we made a boat trip to El Indio beach which is very close to there to walk around and swim for a while in it and after about an hour back.
After 3 p.m., we went back to Chuspa and they took us to visit a nearby river, which was great because besides being a different adventure in which we walked through paths of banana and banana plantations, we crossed several pipes of the river until we reached a great well where we bathed and took the opportunity to remove the saltwater from our bodies and start the return trip fresher. This trip takes about 2 hours, usually a little longer.
We started the return trip and arrived in Caracas at night, extremely tired, but satisfied with the day we enjoyed.

Vivir en Caracas es una bendición, sus residentes habitan un valle maravilloso y al pasar al otro lado del imponente Waraira Repano o cerro El Ávila, la montaña que se encuentra al norte, nos encontraremos nada más y nada menos que con el Mar Caribe en toda su plenitud.
Bajar desde Caracas al estado costero de la Guaira, donde se ubica el litoral central es un espectáculo porque implica atravesar la montaña para luego descender hasta acercarse al Mar Caribe y encontrarse a sus pies.
La playa para los residentes de la capital de Venezuela es de esta manera algo muy accesible y habitual.
Pero más allá de lo común, de lo más frecuentado y accesible al este y al oeste del litoral, hay opciones como para no aburrirse y explorar para los amantes de la aventura y el descubrimiento.
En esta oportunidad giraremos al este del litoral para que una vez transitada la ciudad de la Guaira con sus principales asentamientos turísticos, salir hacia Naiguatá y más allá de este pueblo pesquero sentir en el recorrido con las ventanas abiertas del vehículo para sentir la brisa en la cara y que nos despeine bien el cabello y poder sentir bien toda esa sensación que significa acercarse a la ciudad turística "los Caracas".
Luego de este importante punto en el mapa comienza el recorrido por la costa verde de La Guaira. Nuestro destino terrestre final es el pueblo de Chuspa, pero para llegar a él, el camino se convertirá cada vez más en una carretera de curvas empinadas que se adentra en una vegetación tropical espesa e iremos recorriendo unos 5 o 7 pueblitos que poseen una historia muy interesante.
Sucede que estos predios, al encontrarse muy cerca de antiguas fundaciones de cacao, fueron escogidos por la población que conformaban nuestros ancestros de origen africano para establecer sus Quilombos, que eran los lugares donde ellos se refugiaban cuando siendo esclavos lograban escapar de sus amos.
Esto explica la composición etnológica tan rica en diversidad cultural de las personas que actualmente habitan todos esos pueblos de esta parte de la costa y que enriquecen con su música, bailes y otras costumbres esta región.
Chuspa es justamente el último pueblo de esta franja, podría decirse también el último pueblo del este del estado la Guaira. En este punto se une la Guaira con el estado Miranda, que también es una región de gran riqueza marítima con hermosas playas y cultivos de cacao de la mejor calidad del mundo.
Cuando llegamos a Chuspa notamos que la mayor actividad que se desarrolla en este pequeño pueblo ocurre en el muelle de lanchas, peñeros o embarcaciones marítimas de transporte de turistas que se dirigen desde ese paraje a las recónditas playas, son playas de la plataforma continental, pero no es posible el acceso a ellas por vía terrestre, la única forma de llegar es vía marítima. La más cercana está a menos de 5 minutos y la más lejana a menos de 10 minutos. Las playas que suelen visitar más los turistas son playa El Indio, playa Banquito y playa Caribe.
Esta fue la tercera vez que vinimos a disfrutar de estas playas, la primera vez fue en el año 2009 cuando estaba embarazada del menor de mis hijos varones, Alquilamos una posada que al quedar en lo alto por las noches podíamos ver tortugas marinas en el mar. La segunda vez, ya Isaac el menor tenía un año y alquilamos una casa para celebrar el día de los padres, en ambas ocasiones nos quedamos por 3 días y esta tercera vez vinimos mi esposo y mis 4 hijos, ya con Amelie, hace pocos meses y fue inolvidable, ver a mi familia allí unida y disfrutando juntos de un paisaje que tanto les gusta.
Para este viaje nos incluimos en un full day que organiza una promotora de viajes y turismo que pueden encontrar en su Instagram como [Posada Los Almendrones](https://www.instagram.com/posadalosalmendrones/) ellos se encargan del traslado desde Caracas en un autobús con muy buenas condiciones, incluye el peñero Sombrillas y sillas de playa, un cocktail de bienvenida, el desayuno, almuerzo y refrigerio. Hacen muy bien su trabajo brindando una excelente atención que deja con ganas de repetir la experiencia.
Ahora les escribo sobre lo que más me gusta de estas playas, en primer lugar el color del mar en ellas de una variedad de azules muy brillantes, la temperatura suele ser cálida aunque en algunos meses tiende a ser más templada para nuestro gusto tropical, pero en general para la mayoría de los habitantes del mundo las consideraran bastante cálidas.

El temperamento del mar varía según la temporada del año, pero durante algún tiempo lo que puede ser un mar muy fuerte se convierte en un mar como el de una laguna tan tranquila que es posible practicar esnórquel con mucha calma y aprovechar para ver la riqueza de peces, corales y otras especies.
En las orillas la arena es fina y para nada molesta, hay vegetación donde refugiarse y lo mejor es que cómo el acceso a ellas no es fácil son poco concurridas y la estancia se vuelve super relajada, a este punto yo particularmente le doy mucho valor.
Me sumergí en el mar y disfruté muchísimo, la felicidad de mis hijos aquí no tiene precio, mi hija es amante del agua y además tan atrevida así que nos dio mucho que hacer porque no le tiene miedo al mar y se comporta muy arriesgada por lo que nos toca tener mucha energía para seguir su ritmo sin coartarle su impulso y protegiéndola a la vez.
Estuvimos instalados en Playa Caribe la mayor parte del tiempo, pero cerca del medio día hicimos una excursión en lancha hasta playa El Indio que queda muy cerca de allí para recorrerla y bañarnos un rato en ella y luego de aproximadamente una hora regresar.
Pasadas las 3 de la tarde salimos de regreso en las lanchas o peñeros hasta Chuspa y nos llevaron a visitar un río cercano, que fue genial porque además de que fue una aventura diferente en la que caminamos senderos de sembradíos de cambur o bananas atravesamos varios caños del río hasta llegar aun pozo estupendo donde nos bañamos y aprovechamos de quitarnos del cuerpo el agua salada y emprender más frescos el viaje de retorno. Este viaje es de alrededor de 2 horas, por lo general un poco más.
Emprendimos el regreso y llegamos a Caracas ya de noche, extremadamente cansados, pero satisfechos del día que disfrutamos.
