Does anyone else get sad looking at their previous posts and seeing the money earned reduced?

<p>The money for the early posts has almost halved. Is this because the pot is being shared by more and more members, or is it because the value of Steem on the exchanges has dropped so sharply?</p>
<p>Anyway, I feel a bit sad. I'm only a small earner, but even that seems to be slowly dwindling away...</p>

When people vote for you, they are given you a percentage of their Steem Power, so if 2 people are on here and 1 of them has all the Steem, the second person gets 100% of the pie. If someone else joins and the Steem holder votes, they get 50% of the pie and you are diluted to 50%.

Yes, it is very sad :-( the first time I noticed, I was pretty upset; lolz, but then I just thought; hey, gotta post some more!!

this was foreseeable.

we were given the heads up that this would happen with the dilution occuring from more being posted - though there is a psychological let-down effect that would not be suprising for alot of people to experience...
