## <center>El Portal de la Bahía</center>

El arrecife estaba poblado por variedad de corales, anemonas, moluscos, peces y todo tipo de formas vida marina. Lorena redujo la presión sobre el pulsador de la falange de su guante derecho, lo que disminuyó la intensidad de los impulsores de sus botas de buceo, hasta detenerse frente a las rocas que señalaban la entrada de la bahía.

Frente a ella se encontraban las dos enormes estructuras de concreto, que servían de entrada, cientos de años habían pasado desque que fueron sumergidas en aquel lugar, donde servían de pilares al portal que señalaba la entrada de aquel lugar de ensueño.

Hoy, la antes lisa y blanca superficie, estaba cubierta de innumerables formas de vida, que habían corrompido su otrora impoluta apariencia, dándole una alegre y colorida apariencia, muy diferente a lo que antes fue.

Lorena se impulsó hacia adelante y cruzó el imaginario portal, entrando al colorido reino que era ahora la bahía, innumerables peces de multitud de colores, huían despavoridos a su paso, ocultándose entre los recovecos, formados por los corales que recubrían casi todo el fondo, tras crecer en las rocas, originadas en las derrumbadas paredes, que habían ocupado casi cualquier espacio libre. 

Se dejó flotar hasta la superficie y bajo la intensidad de la luz del día, hizo replegar la delgada membrana que recubría su rostro, manteniendo separada el agua de su cara y fuera de sus pulmones. Tomó una bocanada de aire y miró a su alrededor, frente a ella se encontraba el, una vez glorioso edificio, hoy en ruinas, su anterior aspecto era difícilmente identificable.

Sólo una de las tres torres, de lo que fue un majestuoso castillo, permanecía en pie, las otras formaban parte permanente del arrecife que se encontraba varios metros bajo sus pies. Sacudió sus brazos para girar y ver en sentido contrario. En la dirección de la que venía, aun sobre la entrada, se encontraba el espectacular portal que recibía a los visitantes que anclaban sus embarcaciones de lujo en la bahía, cuando venían a visitar el antiguo reino.

Las grandes esferas que sostenían el antes vistoso y luminoso letrero, aun conservaban su impoluto color blanco, muy diferente a la apariencia irregular y colorida que tenían bajo la línea que en ellas dibujaba el agua.

Las hoy descoloridas y parcialmente derruidas letras, anunciaban a los viajeros, su llegada al más fastuoso y alegre lugar de su tiempo, al mayor de los parques de la Corporación Derlar, la mayor empresa de entretenimiento de la galaxia.

Cientos de años han pasado desde la cúspide de su gloria, cuando miles de visitantes llegaban a él desde los mundos cercanos, pero tras el inicio del decaimiento de la orbita de un asteroide atrapado, que le servía de satélite, Electra, el mundo que una vez fue hogar de sus atracciones, fue abandonado a la espera de su cruel destino final. 

Lorena tomó otra bocanada de aire y volvió a desplegar la membrana, para luego sumergirse, y reactivar los impulsores de sus botas, retomando su rumbo fuera de la bahía, camino a su nave, que flotaba sobre el mar de Electra, varios kilómetros al norte.

## <center>The Gates of the Bay</center>


The reef was populated by a variety of corals, anemones, mollusks, fish and all kinds of sea life. Lorena reduced the pressure on the phalanx button of her right hand glove, which diminished the intensity of her diving boots' thrusters, until she stopped in front of the rocks that indicated the entrance of the bay.

In front of it were the two enormous concrete structures that served as entrance, hundreds of years had passed since they were submerged in that place, where they served as pillars to the portal that indicated the entrance of that dream place.

Today, the formerly smooth and white surface was covered with countless forms of life, which had corrupted its formerly unpolluted appearance, giving it a joyful and colorful appearance, very different from what it once was.

Lorena pushed herself forward and crossed the imaginary portal, entering the colorful kingdom that was now the bay. Innumerable fish of many colors fled in fear, hiding among the nooks and crannies formed by the corals that covered almost all the bottom, after growing in the rocks, originated in the collapsed walls, which had occupied almost any free space. 

He let himself float to the surface and, under the intensity of daylight, made the thin membrane that covered his face fold up, keeping water separate from his face and out of his lungs. She took a breath of air and looked around, in front of her was the once glorious building, now in ruins, its former appearance hardly identifiable.

Only one of the three towers, of what was once a majestic castle, remained standing, the others being a permanent part of the reef that lay several meters below her feet. He shook his arms to turn and look in the opposite direction. In the direction he was coming from, even over the entrance, was the spectacular gateway that received visitors who anchored their luxury boats in the bay, when they came to visit the old kingdom.

The large spheres that held the formerly colorful and luminous sign still kept their pristine white color, very different from the irregular and colorful appearance they had under the line drawn by the water.

The now faded and partially collapsed letters announced to travelers their arrival at the most lavish and joyful place of their time, the largest park of the Derlar Corporation, the largest entertainment company in the galaxy.

Hundreds of years have passed since the summit of its glory, when thousands of visitors were coming to it from nearby worlds, but after the beginning of the decay of the orbit of a trapped asteroid, which served as its satellite, Electra, the world that once was home of its attractions, was abandoned waiting for its cruel final destination. 

Lorena took another breath of air and unfolded the membrane again, and then she submerged, and reactivated the thrusters of her boots, resuming her course out of the bay, on her way to her ship, which was floating over Electra's sea, several kilometers to the north. 

Now, life, once confined to Earth, was spreading unwittingly throughout the galaxy.
