Testing the new pickups in my Squire Stratocaster
<center><h2>Hello, steemians! Welcome to my page, eh!</h2></center>

As my regular readers know, I changed 2 of the 3 pickips in my guitat a few days ago. The guitar had 3 standard single coil pickups in it, and as is typical of single coil pickups, they buzz when using just one pickup. If you want to keep single coil pickups in a guitar and you don't want them to buzz, you have to apply a noise shielding to the entire inside of the guitar, and you have to ground everything to that shielding. The other thing that you can do is to replace the single coil pickups with double coil "humbucking" pickups. The double coils are wired in such a way that they cancel the buzzing. The drawback to that is that the humbuckers don't sound like a single coil pickup.

I had decided to replace the bridge pickup several months back to get a better sound from it, the original pickup was weak sounding. I had gotten a Seymour Duncan pickup from @meno back then, but I wasn'ambitious enough to replace the pickup at that time. A month or so ago, I did a search on E bay to see if I could fine a single coil size humbucker pickup to put into the guitar. I found several different types of humbucker pickups that were more or less single coil size, so I ordered one. It sat on my shelf for a good month before I finally got the ambition to take off the strings and take the guitar apart to replace the pickup. I ended up replacing both the bridge pickup and the neck pickup.

This is the video that I made to demonstrate the different sounds of the new pickups. In case you're wondering, there's only 5 strings on the guitar. I leave the high E string off the guitar. I filed new slots in the nut to spread the strings out a bit more so that I can get my fingers on the strings for open chords without muting the string next to the one that I'm holding down. One of these days, I'll find an electric guitar with a wide neck and more space between the strings. And, yes, I am a crappy guitar player, it's not really my instrument.
I think the mic on the camera may have distorted some of the louder sounds, but you still can get a good idea of the differences in the sound of the pickups.

Thanks for watching the video, I hope you found it interesting!
