Going To Continue And Some Things Will Have To Wait! That Is Life Today!

I have been looking at things I needed to put in the step van for my travels. I had the websites saved on my computer where I was going to get them from. I went back and checked today and realized that most of the things I needed to be comfortable on the road had almost doubled in price. I was not surprised they went up in price but went up to almost double the price. Inflation has really sat in on things in the last year and it hit me hard.

The All-In-One solar charger, inverter I was going to get was 249.00 last year now it is 439.00. The briefcase solar panels were 159.00 not they are 329.00. The lithium batteries have dropped some but not a lot which is good. I had some saved up for getting these things but the added expenses of getting the step van road-ready, which I did not know about, set me back quite a bit. So what am I going to do? Do I go without them and just deal with it until I get the rest saved up?

I cannot dig into the emergency fund I have saved up in case of breakdowns and such as that because if I do it will really be a mess if something happens. Do I power down my Hive account to get some of the stuff I need, which means I will have to pull delegations and weaken the Hive account that I have worked so hard on? I can put off some things like insulating the step-van and covering the wall, just thrown a bed frame and mattress in the Step-van instead of building it. We all know lumber and building supplies are still higher than they were before. I was looking to order some stuff and it just hit me, prices have jumped up and I cannot do what I had planned on.

These are the things I have been thinking about the last couple of days since looking to order the stuff and finish it up to the point I wanted the step-van to be somewhat comfortable to get out by the end of this month. That was the goal I set for myself.

With all of this being said, I am not looking for anything from anyone, I am just writing my thoughts down and sharing what I have on my mind. I have had people tell me to put up an Amazon wish list or share links and people will help. I know some might but it is hard on everyone right now and that would not be fair to me or anyone else. This is my dream and I need to figure it out and make the best choices I can and move forward, might be slow but it is forward!

After writing this down and thinking about it for a day or so, I have come to the conclusion that I need to just make it work the best I can. It might be uncomfortable for a month or so but it will all work out in the end. Nothing in this life is forever and this little rough patch will not last forever either. So I will do what I can and make it work until things change for the better. On the bright side of things, it is better than a tent and a car, and believe me, it will be better than two shelter halves put together in the woods if you were in the military in the late '80s and early '90s or early I guess, you know what I mean. LOL. I will still reach my goal of being on the road by the end of the month if things stay as they are now. Just be like Gumby, always flexible and ready for a change at any time.

Trying to keep a positive attitude and look at the things I do have. I hope we all will with the New Year and it will be better than the last year. Have a great day/night, whatever it is in your neck of the woods! ALWAYS FORWARD!

This inflation of a thing is everywhere, some things here went up almost 3 times of their initial price, this affected a whole lot this last Christmas, many people couldn’t afford the necessities to celebrate Christmas in a normal level. 

One funny thing is that overrated here, once prices are being inflated, the prices never come down again, I don’t understand the reason for that. 

I hope that things get better, and that you are able to carry out your plans towards the step-van  and any other projects you have in mind

Yeah, I agree that inflation is here to stay. Some of that is that people will not go back to work because they make more sitting at home drawing unemployment and the employers have to pay more and offer more to even get people to work now. 

Things will get better as time goes along, just a little longer to get where I need to be on the road. Thanks!
