As Steem prices were falling I remember many saying"I will always post on Steemit I am in for the long haul!" I got to looking around today in the trending pages and my feed. I am seeing nothing in my blog because all the people I followed are not posting now. Some of the same people that told me they were in it for the long haul. They were all ready to go and totally fired up. Now why are they not posting?

In the trending pages all you really see is the whales posts and they are still doing fine because their whales friends are upvoting them and they return the upvotes. The Steemit circle jerk and all of the little guys,that are still posting,  trying to get a crumb that one of the whales let behind. They never really upvoted outside that circle anyway even before the last hard fork, you really never noticed because there were many more people active here and you still made a decent payout on your posts. You might not have noticed or really even care but most of the whales here are selling votes on Steemit for Weku so they can be a whale on Weku and do the same thing to that platform as they did on Steemit.

I am by no means saying all the whales on Steemit are like this just that most of them are. There are some in communities that are helping those communities and upvoting members. If the circle jerk whales would decide to want to make Steemit a better place with this downturn in the crypto market they could by going out and finding good content to upvote and not just upvote the circle. I really do not think they will as they look down on the small accounts as their supporters and they do not really have to help us at all. Shit runs downhill but that is not all that runs downhill. A upvote to some of the small accounts by a whale would build a small channel up and in turn would help the small channel to help other small channels. Whales instead of the little circles you vote in, expand the circle and help small channels grow. Now is the time for the whales to set the right example for the Steemit platform.
