Update On Want Is Happening Here! Saving HBD From Posts For My Step-Van Build!

It has been busy here the last few weeks, we have moved a double-wide mobile home on our property, we have been working on getting it set up and how we want to do that. We are going to build a 12-foot add-in between the two halves and make it bigger. It will be great when it is done and my son gets moved into it. There will be more on this in a later post!

I have been working on some things in the step van and moving forward with that also. I am getting the material list for the build together and what I want in the step-van as far as power and what I will need for that. Where and how to build things inside, basically the layout of what I want. I got the new LED taillights and reverse lights installed, with some help, those are a pain in the butt to do! Fixing a lot of little things on the step-van!

I have got the wrap off of the Step-van now. I was thinking of sending out some e-mails that would want to sponsor me and I could use the sides of the step-van as a moving billboard. Not sure if I would get any responses to this, lots of room for advertisements on the sides of the step-van though! If not I will sand and paint it and maybe put my logo and something about Hive and some communities on Hive on the sides of the step-van! Might prove to be interesting! Still will need a paint job though. LOL

The reason for this post was to update everyone on what is going on here as far as building on the property and getting the step-van built out. We have been using most of our available funds to get the mobile home done and still have a ways to go, as that is the most important thing right now, I still will have some funds available to build the step-van but, yes, there is always a but, right? It will not be a lot.

I have decided to use the funds I get from posting on Hive to help fund the step-van build. So every post that I make and when it pays out, I will keep the HP in the account to build the account up and all Of the HBD from my posts will go into savings to help fund the step-van build, along with what I can put with it from my available funds. It will be a slow process, but you eat an elephant one bite at a time, right?

I will be able to get most of the material I need to build out the step-van from the funds I have saved up over the last couple of months. I still need to get the brakes fixed and the windshield replaced and some other small mechanical stuff done to it. The stuff I will have to work on from the HBD will be the solar stuff I will need, the PIP, and the batteries, and the solar panels.

This is the PIP I will use as it is easier and less complicated to set up for me. It is a little cheaper than buying all the components separately and then installing them. I am not sure about the solar panels yet, mounting them on the roof or using briefcase panels as they will be easier for me to clean and set up than trying to get on the roof to clean and maintain panels up on the roof. I want to get Battle Born Batteries but the expense of them is really out of my budget so looking for alternatives to those batteries, Lithium batteries will be the best I think from what I have read and researched on batteries.

There may be someone that knows more about solar reading this and could help me out with this, I know there will be a fuse block and bus bars and some wiring that will go into this also. I have done residential electrical work but solar is a whole another animal to a point. Any help on solar would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely go for lithium battery if you can as they are much more efficient. How much electrical items are you thinking you need the solar to power? As this will help in knowing how to build the solar system.

I will be powering my laptop, charging phone and drone batteries, maybe a camera battery, If I get a DSLR. I will run the lights at night and maybe a small tv and tv box. I will have to power my CPAP machine. A little 12-volt fridge. 

I am sure I can expand my solar but I think starting off small is better. I will cook with propane, also a small grill. Still doing some research on this.
