Communication indeed has proved to be the cornerstone of any successful relationship. It further tend to serve as the bridge that connects individuals on a deeper level, thereby fostering understanding, trust, and intimacy in the supposed cohabitation.

In this advanced world where people are busy with plenty things online, we tend to shy away from building strong relationship bond, we are more focused and invested in our phone and other online activities that we neglect the bond of relationship we are supposed to be building and investing in people.

### HOW TO ENHANCE ACTIVE COMMUNICATION IN A RELATIONSHIP

There are plenty ways to enhance active communication in relationships, most importantly, we need to know and understand that as always, there is no manual to living and things like this since we are different and we are from different backgrounds and diverse in ways of life. that being said, let us look at the 5 active ways below;

* Active Listening
* Ability to Express Feelings Effectively
* Conflict Resolution
* Regular Checks and Balancing
* Being able to Communicate Non-Verbally

we will further go into discussing these ways

**Active Listening:**  we need to understand that there is difference in being able to listen and being able to actively listen, Effective communication therefore means active listening. this is beyond  just about hearing words; it's about understanding the emotions and intentions behind them.

When we truly listen, we tend to validate our partner's experiences and demonstrate empathy thereby putting them in a safe place. therefore it is important to Put away distractions, make eye contact as much as possible, and lastly, be present in the moment. it has been proven over time that This simple act can go a long way in making your partner feel heard and valued.

**Ability to Express Feelings Effectively:** We need to understand that, Instead of making assumptions or letting resentment build up, we should learn to express our emotions in a calm and constructive manner. 

We should adopt the habit of using "I" statements when expressing our feelings rather than "U". what i am trying to say for example is to say:

> I feel hurt when........ " instead of "You always......

**Conflict Resolution:** Disagreement is a natural thing and it will always happen in relationships, especially where true love exists,  When conflicts arise, approach them with a willingness to understand your partner's perspective. 

Try as much as possible to Avoid blame and criticism, and instead, focus on finding solutions together. always Remember that:

> Compromise is not a sign of weakness but a testament to the strength of your relationship and Abilities.

**Regular Checks and Balancing:**  Just As relationships evolves, so does individuals. therefore, Regular checks and balance with our supposed partner will definitely go a long way in ensuring that both of you are on the same page. 

So, try as much as possible to Discuss your goals, aspirations, and any concerns you may have.

**Being able to Communicate Non-Verbally:** Research has proven that communication stretches beyond just being verbal, therefore Non-verbal cues, such as body language and facial expressions tend to play a significant role in conveying emotions. 

We should learn to Pay attention to our partner's non-verbal signals, and be mindful of our own too. A reassuring touch, a warm smile, or a gentle nod can convey love and understanding even without saying a single word.

Lastly, we need to know that effective communication is like a major tool needed to bond people together and help them grow together in understanding.
