The full node is a node with a complete blockchain ledger. It need to occupy all blockchain data in memory synchronization, and can independently verify all transactions on the blockchain. Following new data in real time, its main responsibilities are block broadcasting and verifying of chain transactions.

The light node does not download and store the complete chain, and only downloads information from the metablock to the current header block. It does not perform any transactions or retrieves any associated status. Because the light node can access the block header hash containing three trees, it is still easy to generate and receive verifiable results for transactions, events, balances, and the likes. When a light node communicates with a full node, the light node uses a minimum amount of state to grasp the blockchain. The goal of a light node is small enough to run on a mobile phone or embedded device. Whenever a light node wants to query a blockchain or send a transaction, it must request a full node to operate on its behalf.

For the light node, Ambr introduces the pushdown analysis algorithm optimization to improve the processing speed of the light node. Greatly enhancing the capacity and speed expansion of the DAG blockchain, and allowing Ambr to commercialize processing and system capability.
