I teach people on how to use steemit and help integrate newbies into this beautiful platform,in doing this i had th opportunity to meet a lot of people from different parts of the world and i got to know what they really think about steemit and the difficulties they are facing which includes :
1- huge data (mb/gb) consumption by steemit
2- flags by whales
3- complex outlay of steemit which makes it difficult to use
4- plagiarism by the cheetah bot
5- low or no payouts on posts 
6- inability to directly post videos on steemit
              Among other complaints 

I have decided to resolve all these complaints one after the other to the best of my ability,if you also have any problem you are experiencing with steemit apart from the aforementioned above,kindly leave a comment and i will review your complaint and try to find a solutionto it

Solution to problem 1 (how to avoid huge data consumption on steemit):- i know a lot of people use free wifi to access steemit but for those from developing countries who use data,this is for you...its quite simple,you dont have to necessarily sign into steemit before you know who upvotes,comments or follows you ,you can minimise data consumption by using a 3rd party website to indirectly access steemit ,th best is:-( http://steemd.com/@username )

Yes @sbamsoneu the steem is splited into 2 because you need steem power to upvote and steem dollars that u can immediately withdraw or trade...ur second question :- yes,you can convert your steem power to steem if you wish but the process takes a long period of about 13 months where you get steem in installments for 13 months....d reason for this is to avoid any  rapid devaluation in steem power...hope i answered your questions
