<div class="text-justify">Dear readers, planning is essential for the proper functioning of any organization, because with this activity the objectives, strategies, guides of how the activities to be carried out within the company or farm can be organized, executed, directed and controlled are established. In addition to this, there must be methods and procedures in the relationships established between individuals and groups of people, adapting their work in different fields and trying to participate by having a behavior with authority and discipline, however, having as a strategy the motivation of the individuals who carry out the tasks avoiding loss in human labor capital due to inadequate management strategies.</div>

<div class="text-justify">In that sense, Armijo, in 2009, refers to the planning process as the function of defining goals, setting strategies to achieve them and drawing up plans to integrate and coordinate activities. Therefore, planning can be defined as the process that involves the selection of objectives, plans, programs, and strategies to achieve them and select from several alternatives for action. Planning is deciding in advance what to do, how to do it, when and who will be the right person to do it. If there is no planning in the agricultural production units, producers will have to leave all their activities to chance, which can lead to some problems in the management of farms that are difficult to solve in the short term.</div> <br>

 <div class="text-justify">The relevance of planning is that it is the initial activity within the administrative process, that is, it analyzes the present to know where we are, it is projected into the future to know the direction where we want to go, and it is established what should be done to achieve it in addition to how we are going to do it. Therefore, objectives are proposed and it guides what should be done in order to achieve them, it is the guide to organize the company or farm in terms of areas and resources, it helps to coordinate activities, it also contributes to the control and evaluation of results.</div>

This shows that agricultural businesses are complex, there are many different components that need to be managed together in order for the farm to function profitably</div><br>

<div class="text-justify"> Agricultural business Planning focuses on the need to identify and clearly define the goals that will guide the organization's efforts and results in the future. Each company must develop its own planning procedure according to its particular characteristics. An agribusiness plan must contemplate three aspects: the current and future state of the business, the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities applying what is known as SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses and threats to the business.</div><br>
