<h2>New shooting with a new lens</h2>

I was late at work on a Sunday night. This sometimes happens when you work for yourself. It was already about six o'clock in the evening when I looked out the window and saw that the sun had almost set below the horizon, and business was not over yet. It was still necessary to work at least an hour and a half.

When I left the workplace, it was already dark outside. I raised my head to the sky and saw the stars. At that moment, I was very happy about the fact that I was late at work.

The fact is that just recently I bought myself an interesting lens. It is a wide-angle lens with high aperture. I wanted to photograph the night sky and I was specifically looking for an inexpensive lens for such a specific task.

The moment I bought this lens, the sky was covered with clouds and there were no gaps in the weather forecast. And so, I go out into the street and see the stars.

I almost always have a camera and a tripod in my car. I decided to stop on the way home and try to take some shots. In the city, it is very difficult to take a good photo of the starry sky due to light pollution. There are lanterns and luminous signs all around, which give a lot of light. This light poses a lot of problems for night photography.

I went to the bank of the Volga River to avoid the overexposed foreground. In front of me was a bridge across the Volga with multi-colored lights. The sky above the bridge was dark blue. Somewhere beyond the bridge the sun had set an hour ago.

The exposure was about 10 seconds and I saw stars in the photo. It is a wonderful feeling that you did what you wanted. The dark blue skies turned to azure blue.

The clouds, which were almost invisible to the eyes, turned into clearly visible in the photo. The world was painted with bright colors.

After taking a few photos on the banks of the Volga, I decided to change the shooting location to the Kremlin Hill. Here the construction of the bell tower is being completed on the site of the old destroyed temple.

From this hill I took some more photos.

I feel this will not be the last time I will shoot at night. For such a shoot, you need to be well equipped. I need warm clothes, a flashlight, and it seems I should also get a release cable.
