Random Football Thoughts
Random Football Thoughts is a new series where I talk about things related to football that aren't long enough to be a post yet I find them important to bring up.

# Guardiola's Football Heritage

With three Premier League titles and five titles in just 7 years, Manchester City, under Guardiola's leadership, has become the modern era's Premier League leader. Guardiola is on the verge of achieving a historic treble, which will be more significant than Barcelona's sextuple, considering that Manchester City does not have the same legacy or history as Barcelona. Building a history for Manchester City, shaping the team's character, and changing the club's culture must be appreciated, making it an achievement for Pep Guardiola.

The reasons behind Guardiola's dominance in the Premier League are primarily related to his technical stability and granting him the authority in transfer dealings, making him an influential decision-maker. The diversity of ideas, tactical flexibility, and possession of different styles make him superior to his competitors, and this is also evident in his exceptional mental aspect.

The issue of spending is not the most significant for Manchester City. Manchester United has spent more, but they have not achieved the desired successes. Spending is necessary if you want to compete on all fronts, but the key lies in the strategy and the project.

If Manchester City does not have clear strategies and projects, they will not succeed. Paris Saint-Germain has spent a lot but failed because the club lacks a clear vision. Guardiola has raised the quality of his players to make them more productive. During his time with Barcelona, he had exceptional elements. The common factor is that Guardiola's system brings out the best in players.

Jurgen Klopp is the only one who has been able to compete with Guardiola and surpass him. The difference between them is that Klopp lacks the tactical diversity that Guardiola possesses. Another difference is that Liverpool is a financially limited club, which makes sustainability challenging.

Guardiola has lost three out of 14 league races in his career and has won 11, which proves the difficulty of competing against him. Guardiola's legacy is great as he has changed the course of Manchester City and had a tangible impact on raising the standards of the Premier League.

# Di Zerbi: The Highlight of the Stage!

When the spark of the Italians faded and their value decreased amidst the lethargy and dryness that struck the Duomo Square and the gardens of Emilia-Romagna, Roberto di Zerbi emerged with a brilliant style that filled us with memories of Diego's dances in Sao Paulo Castle, the elegance of Baggio's goals in the streets of Florence, and the sweetness of the Ultras' taunting songs in San Siro, Miazga, and the rocket shots of Del Piero in the city of metals, as well as the rivalries of the capital's children in the derby.

In Brighton, Roberto wanted to revive some of the Italian glories through the aesthetic of his style, despite the differences. However, taste leans towards technical football, while he sees dribbling as the highest tactical superiority.

Since Foggia, passing through Sassuolo to Crotone, and even in Brighton, di Zerbi insists on applying the message passed on to him by his first inspiration, Squalo Marini, which means holding on to his ideas and his attacking approach, and belonging to the school of intricate play.

When Guardiola took over coaching Munich, di Zerbi headed to the city, seeking answers from the philosopher about his theory in the Johan Cruyff Cathedral and the Juanma Lillo University. Afterwards, fate led him to Pontedera, where he continued his journey of passion until he stepped onto the Tricolori's turf and refreshed his last performance in Italy.

Then he headed to Ukraine, a journey encouraged by Father Maurizio Sarri's approval of his good choice, and from there he went to Brighton, captivating the world with his style of play. Guardiola then came out saying, "Pay attention to what I'm about to say! Because I'm fully convinced that I'm right in what I'm saying: I'm sure that Roberto di Zerbi is one of the most influential coaches in football in the past twenty years. He is exceptional."

As for Lopetegui, he sees Brighton playing the best football in the world.
