Vector Graphics is a type of  graphics that uses mathematical algorithms to make graphics. These are usually referred as vector images and used in many different fields including website design, advertising, illustration, graphics design and many more. As against to raster graphics  which use pixels, vector graphics are contains paths, objects, lines, curves, shapes, and colours.

Some of the vector graphics software includes Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, Inkscape, and Adobe Flash. Vector graphics files are saved with many file extensions, including EPS, AI, SVG, and PDF. 

Vector graphics have many advantages over raster graphics. In terms of storage requirements, vector graphics are much smaller than raster images of the same size. They are also resolution-independent, they can be scaled up or down without any loss of quality. Vector graphics are more versatile, allowing for easy editing and transformation of existing images.

The process of creating vector graphics can vary depending on the software, but generally begins with the selection of a drawing canvas. The canvas will dictate the size of the vector graphic. After the canvas is selected, shapes, lines, and curves are added to the design. Colours, gradients and texts be applied to the design to give it the wanted look.

Once the design is created the vector graphic file can be seen in many formats, including EPS, AI, SVG, and PDF. Vector graphics can be used in a variety of applications, including web design, printing and  many more.
