We come to this planet that we believe is full and never-ending. We misuse it and all its bounty to entertain, feed, cloth, and house ourselves. We have made a disposable society. In that, we don’t make things to last because then we won’t buy the next best thing. This was not always the case. We made things to last. We didn’t just through away something we would re-purpose items till it was to the point of no return. We created things that were organic so it wouldn’t poison ourselves or the planet. We replanted trees for what we would take. We created conservation spaces and preserved lands into great parks. So the question is what will be left for our children? We have resources that will run out within our lifetime. Ones that we use every day now. They need to be taught how to do things that our ancestors knew. We need to be making things that last and can be repaired or reused in some fashion. We need to be kinder to each other and the earth. Recycling is going to be much larger in the long run. We will need to begin to mine our garbage for the resources that are lacking. We will discover new ways to create things that will be helpful. How will you help our legacy for our children? Will you be someone who can help create a better future? What will your legacy be? (Picture is from https://pixabay.com)

This is a very good point, it's perhaps the number one thing that we are confronting in this generation. How can we transition into sustainable living? I think it's intimately tied in to becoming conscious beings, because it's in our unconsciousness that we act so hastily. Without a feeling for our connection to everything else on this planet we are bound to be destructive. To answer your question (if it's not rhetorical and in fact an invitation for each of us to answer) by exploring consciousness and self awareness, if I can facilitate a transformational process in many people then quite naturally they will act in a more responsible and holistic way. I feel as if the environmental crisis is intimately tied to the crisis in human consciousness (how ignorant and seperate we have become)

I love that. I think that we create more technology and instead of bringing us together it’s putting walls around us so that we are in our own little bubble. I thinks we have a duty to make sure we are connecting with one another. Thanks so much for your comment.
