Hace unos días estaba acompañando a mi hermana al odontólogo y tuve que llevarme a mi hijo, Dorian. Mientras esperábamos, él se quedó dormido y yo me puse a eliminar cosas de mi galería.

Entonces, vi una foto que me sorprendió.

Mi hijo durmiendo encima de mí justo en la misma posición que estaba en ese momento. Pero, no parecían las mismas personas. Los cambios eran impresionantes.

Dicen que los niños cambian y sí, es cierto. La foto de la derecha es de Dorian de un mes. La de la izquierda es de él en el momento. Mientras estábamos en el odontólogo. Tenía un año y dos meses.

Como pueden ver, sus labios se engrosaron. Su cabello salió, así como sus cejas. Sus mejillas adelgazaron y su nariz está menos chata.
Aquí hay otra foto de cuando tenía cuatro meses y una reciente. Puestas una al lado de la otra, se ve mucho el cambio.

En una pequeña [investigación](https://kidshealth.org/es/parents/newborn-variations.html) que hice descubrí que el cambio se debe a que, cuando nacen, sus facciones vienen comprimidas por la posición que tenían en el útero. El parto también contribuye a los cambios en ellos, en mi caso fui cesárea.

La grasa en las mejillas disminuye y los cartílagos se engrosan. Ahora tiene más parecido a su padre. Además, ya le salieron los dientes. Salieron, de hecho, muy rápido. A los 4 meses ya tenía uno arriba y los demás han salido en el transcurso del tiempo.

The fat on the cheeks decreases and the cartilage thickens. He now looks more like his father. In addition, his teeth have come in. They came in, in fact, very quickly. At 4 months he had one on top and the others have come in over time.
