Portrait of a Pooch. Delta part 1 of 2

Ok so I am finally back on the mend and getting some work done, (long boring story). Can't do any airbrushing just yet but I can certainly start drawing again.

How can I not draw this little cutie? Now for my favourite part about working digitally is the layering of the image. I can work on different aspects of the drawing at any stage. Best example of that will be working on the hair detail and the sharing at different stages. You will notice this as I update the images. First of lets sketch in the puppy, tidy up the ,ones and get an accurate starting point.

I have to have those ears completely in the drawing. So cute!

Compare the above image to the one below. You can see how not only have I added more detail to the hair but I have also darkened the background a little. If I was working with traditional materials I would have all the shading done first then start on the detailing. And that's about it for this update.
