Hello again everyone! this will be the second last update in this series, I normally try to get the updates done in no more than four parts but this time it has been unavoidable. The next update will have the three completed models. Today I am doing the final tonal variation to the paint work. This time using enamel paints and washes. I am using these as opposed to oils as the dry time is faster, they work almost as well and as these are gaming pieces it should be a little more durable to handling.  The first photo is actually the near finished product.  in the second photo we can see the vehicle prior to application of the enamel paints. I apply them in small dots on the surface and burnish them into the existing paintwork. The best part is, as I have sealed the paintwork already I can easily remove any excess enamel paint with out damaging the model. The whole idea of this technique is to gradually increase or correct the contrast already achieved with the earlier airbrushing.  In this photo I am adding the panel line wash black and later brown. This flows into the recessed areas and gives the model a little more depth. I am selective as to where I apply this and how much I apply as this effect is easily overdone in such a small scale. And here we have a side by side comparison with a model that is waiting for the same treatment. The difference on the camera isn't huge, it is more pronounced in real life but not by much.  This image is a little bright annoyingly I am sorry. So I will end with the side and rear profile snaps as these are much closer to the true color.
