I already showed you the Nevsky Gate in a previous post.
Here are some more photos from the surroundings.
Also here is the Flag Tower, which is located in the center of the Peter and Paul Fortress. The flag tower appeared a long time ago, it was built in 1730. Just imagine how long ago it is.
The tower was built for the Empress. She loved watching a beautiful view of St. Petersburg over a cup of coffee.
Then gunpowder was kept here. Later, a chest was placed here for storing keys from the gate and for flags.
There are many interesting places in St. Petersburg. Even a nondescript house or a small street with history.

Вот еще немного фото с окрестностей. 
Также здесь Флагшточная башня, которая находится в центре Петропавловской крепости. Флагшточная башня появилась очень давно, ее построили в 1730 году. Только представьте как это давно.
Башня была построена для императрицы. Она любила за чашечкой кофе смотреть прекрасный вид на Санкт-Петербург.
Потом здесь хранили порох. Позже здесь поставили сундук для хранения ключей от ворот и для флагов.
В Санкт-Петербурге много достопримечательной. Даже невзрачный дом или мелкая улица с историей.
