<div class="text-justify">เมื่อถามใครเกี่ยวกับเรื่องผลไม้ คงต้องมีคำตอบให้ได้ยินว่าจะต้องมี “สตรอร์เบอร์รี่” อยู่ในรายชื่อเหล่านั้นด้วย สำหรับสตรอร์เบอรรี่ถูกจัดได้ว่าเป็นผลไม้ยอดนิยมตลอดกาล เนื่องด้วยจากสีสัน กลิ่นและรสชาติที่หอมหวาน แต่น้อยคนก็หารู้ไม่ว่าผลไม้ชนิดนี้มีการใช้ยาฆ่าแมลงเป็นจำนวนมากในการเพาะปลูกซึ่งมีความเสี่ยงต่อสารเคมีจากยาฆ่าแมลงตกค้าง</div><br></br>

<div class="text-justify">คณะทำงานด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม (Environmental Working Group-EWG) ของประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาได้เริ่มเก็บข้อมูล (กลุ่มตัวอย่างภายในประเทศอเมริกาเท่านั้น) เป็นประจำทุกๆปี ตั้งแต่ปี 2004 ที่จะจัดอันดับผักและผลไม้ที่เป็นที่นิยมของประชาชนจำนวน 47 ชนิด เพื่อให้ความรู้กับประชาชนทั่วไปและจัดทำเป็นคู่มือสำหรับการเลือกซื้อผักและผลไม้ นอกจากนี้ยังได้จัดอันดับ Dirty Dozen List สำหรับผักและผลไม้ที่มีการใช้ยาฆ่าแมลงในการเพาะปลูกเป็นจำนวนมาก ซึ่งผลไม้ยอดนิยมอย่างสตรอร์เบอรรี่ ติดอันดับของ Dirty Dozen ติดต่อกันมา 3 ปีซ้อน</div><br></br>
<div class="text-justify">การตรวจสอบเพื่อจัดอันดับผักและผลไม้ จัดทำโดยใช้ผลการตรวจสอบและทดสอบขององค์การอาหารและยา และกระทรวงเกษตรของประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา โดยการสุ่มเก็บตัวอย่างผักและผลไม้จำนวน 38,000 ตัวอย่าง โดยคณะทำงานมีหลักเกณฑ์พิจารณาในการตรวจสอบ 6 อย่าง รวมไปถึงค่าเฉลี่ยของยาฆ่าแมลงที่ตรวจพบในกลุ่มตัวอย่าง และค่าเฉลี่ยของยาฆ่าแมลงที่ตรวจสอบทั้งหมด ในขั้นตอนการตรวจสอบกลุ่มตัวอย่าง คณะทำงานจะใช้วิธีการล้างหรือปลอกเปลือกผักผลไม้เหมือนกับที่ผู้บริโภคโดยทั่วไปทำกัน</div><br></br>
<div class="text-justify">สำหรับในปีนี้พบว่าจากการตรวจสอบ สตรอร์เบอรรี่ ผักขม ลูกพีช ส้ม nectarines เชอร์รี่ และแอปเปิ้ล มีจำนวนมากกว่า 98 เปอร์เซ็นต์ที่ตรวจพบยาฆ่าแมลงอย่างน้อย 1 ชนิด และในบางกลุ่มตัวอย่างได้พบว่าสามารถตรวจสอบพบยาฆ่าแมลงในสตรอร์เบอรรี่มากกว่า 20 ชนิด และเป็นปีที่ 2 สำหรับผักขมที่ได้ตรวจพบสารตกค้างจากยาฆ่าแมลงสูงเป็น 2 เท่าเมื่อเทียบต่อน้ำหนัก</div><br></br>
<div class="text-justify">นอกจากคณะทำงานด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม (Environmental Working Group-EWG) จะจัดอันดับ Dirty Dozen List ยังมีการจัดอันดับ Clean Fifteen List ซึ่งจัดอันดับผักและผลไม้ซึ่งมีการใช้ยาฆ่าแมลงและปริมาณสารตกค้างค่อนข้างต่ำอีกด้วยซึ่งพบว่า อะโวคาโด และข้าวโพดหวาน มีการใช้ยาฆ่าแมลงและสารตกค้างในปริมาณค่อนข้างต่ำ และมากว่า 80 เปอร์เซ็นต์ของกลุ่มตัวอย่างของสัปปะรด มะละกอ หน่อไม้ฝรั่ง หอมหัวใหญ่ และกระหล่ำปลี ที่ไม่ตรวจพบสารตกค้าง สำหรับผักและผลไม้ที่อยู่ใน Clean Fifteen List มีเพียงจำนวน 5 เปอร์เซ็นต์ที่ตรวจพบการใช้ยาฆ่าแมลง 2 ชนิดขึ้นไปแต่ไม่เกิน 4 ชนิด </div><br></br>
<div class="text-justify">ทั้งนี้ต้องหมายเหตุกันตัวโตๆว่า เป็นการเก็บตัวอย่างและการตรวจสอบในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาเท่านั้น</div>

For the third year in a row, strawberries top the Environmental Working Group’s (EWG) Dirty Dozen list of the twelve fruits and vegetables most heavily sprayed with pesticides.

EWG ranks fruits and vegetables based on USDA analyses on pesticide and herbicide use. This year’s list saw more than 98 percent of strawberries, spinach, peaches, nectarines, cherries, and apples tested contained residue of at least one pesticide. In one case, a strawberry sample contained traces of more than 20 pesticides.
