Flowing in and flowing out

Nothing ever stays the same, good times, hard times and sad times come and go for each and every one of us and we are either enjoying, laughing happily or worrying and crying.  It is more than easy accepting good circumstances compared to the upsets and problems unexpectedly appearing in our lives.  No-one is exempt from life's ups and downs, we are all faced with endless challenges, of the flowing in and out of positive and negative events no matter our age. 

What is different for each of us however is how we perceive and understand the situation, how we fix it, how we manage our feelings and what we learn from each happening. For example, if an individual believes that everything in the universe is connected, life is what you make it and what goes round comes round then he or she is much more accepting to learn from every situation. 

This perception is based on the principal of what you sow is what you reap.  Therefore, what you put out you will get back. If you are hurtful and mean then you are likely to have others being hurtful and mean to you.  If you are kind to others then others will show you kindness.     

What we believe or understand of our purpose in this life is personal for each of us.  But, do you ever think about why you are here?  Have you asked what is my purpose in this life on earth?  If you have you are not alone, it has been asked countless of times by many fellow humans.  Carolyn Myss, spiritualist, teacher, author and medical intuitive was asked the question about our purpose in life.  She said it was to live a good life.  

Over the years I still thinking about this simplistic answer as I regularly contemplate my purpose from a soul perspective.  No longer do I consider my life's purpose as complicated, deciding long ago that showing kindness, caring and consideration to my fellow human beings I can do.  Love not hate.

My wisdom says lessons will continue as endless flowing in and a flowing out of life's challenges will never stop.

I agree with the idea that the purpose is simply to live a good life. I make it a bit less general by adding in a subcategory though. For creative people, I think their life purpose is to express the creativity. I have a very extraverted friend, and I really think her purpose is just to walk around and connect people and open them up. I think whatever our natural born gift is and expressing it is our purpose. Putting our gift out there will change the world, if only in subtle ways.

How nicely put @ginnyannette, individual contributions hitches of our personalities and of course they widely differ.   It makes a lot of sense.  In the end it is about doing good whatever we do as long as our intentions are sincere.
