We are on the verge of a period that cannot be unambiguously characterized. First, it is by far the most magical time of the year. A series of wonderful holidays awaits us: St. Nicholas Day, Christmas, New Year's Eve. On the other hand, we are approaching the Day of the Winter Solstice. This is the darkest and most difficult period of the year, the second tipping point, when, after the shortest day and the longest night, we will again begin to move towards light and warmth.

Moreover, winter is a period of transformation. If we remember the end of November, then this is the time when nature is already tired enough. The land that has given us the harvest needs rest. Winter provides such an opportunity. It covers everything around with a clean snow blanket, allowing nature to fall asleep and rejuvenate. December can be called a preparatory month for the period of winter transformation. And this is the case when preparation for the process will be no less important than the process itself, since it is the key to success.

Many of us will traditionally make wishes and plans for the new year. But this process will only be successful when the victories and failures of the year that draws to a close are analyzed.

Since the period before the Winter Solstice is the darkest time of the year, it is traditionally considered energetically positive to fill your home with light as much as possible. On the one hand, in the modern world, we invariably think about the consequences of this in the form of huge bills for the use of electricity.🤑 But, on the other hand, energy-saving light bulbs will definitely solve this problem.😉 In addition, many of us will decorate our homes and apartments with garlands. The traditional meaning of this light is to support the birth of a new Sun.

If we turn to more traditional practices, then 12 days before the day of the Winter Solstice (December 21), we begin to light candles, adding one every day. Thus, on December 21, there will be 12 of them. Next, every day we remove one candle.
In these 12 days before the Winter Solstice, we also remember all the good things that we had this year. There are two techniques here. The first is one day / one month.
