They really like to communicate with us

Pigeons are one of those birds that are well tamed and are always ready to live next to humans. Even an adult bird can be tamed if you take the time to do it. But most often, of course, chicks come to us. These are either adolescents who fell out of the nest in a dangerous place for them or babies who were abandoned by their parents.

There are usually two chicks in a pigeon's nest. If there is not enough food, the parents begin to feed only one, the second dies. If I find a nest in my yard, I always check to see if both chicks are getting enough food. If I see that one chick is starving all the time, I take it and feed it with special porridge at home. As a result, the bird grows up completely tame. Am I interfering with natural selection? Probably ... But these situations are pretty rare, so I don't think I globally influence pigeon breeding;)
