<div class="pull-left">The excellent band Diablo Swing Orchestra "DSO" originally from Sweden formed in 2003 is a Swedish Avant-Garde Metal band.
According to Wikipedia, Avant-Garde Metal is defined as “a subgenre of heavy metal characterized by the use of avant-garde elements, experimentation and the use of unusual sounds, structures and instruments”. Diablo Swing Orchestra does it very well given the description of the genre as it introduces mixes such as Jazz, Swing, Tango among other genres that make it sound quite tropical, but tasteful ... some songs sound like SKA without that repetitive reggae tone, with more electric guitar riffs, powerful drums and tenor choruses… Others have their own Celtic music instruments like bagpipes and so on… In short, they need to hear them to get an idea.</div>

<div class="pull-right">La excelente banda Diablo Swing Orchestra “DSO” originaria de Suecia formada en 2003 es una banda sueca de Avant-Garde Metal.
El Avant-Garde Metal según la Wikipedia se define como “un subgénero del heavy metal caracterizado por el uso de elementos vanguardistas, la experimentación y el uso de sonidos, estructuras e instrumentos poco comunes”. Diablo Swing Orchestra lo hace muy bien dada la descripción del genero pues introduce mezclas como Jazz, Swing, Tango entre otros géneros que lo hacen oírse bastante tropical, pero de buen gusto… algunas canciones se oyen como SKA sin ese repetitivo tono del reggae, con más riffs de guitarra eléctrica, una batería potente y coros en tenor… Otras tienen instrumentos propios de música celta como gaitas y demás… En definitiva, necesitan oírlos para hacerse una idea.</div>

<div class="pull-left">Diablo Swing Orchestra is an experimental band in that sense; he plays with all kinds of instruments and sounds, of different genres. They include in their musical pieces conventional metal instruments (distorted guitar, bass, drums) and uncommon instruments in it (violins, trombones, drums, trumpets, flutes, clarinets). The result is a heavy metal-swing-neoclassical sound, where the swing is the one that stands out, so much so that I don't know if Diablo Swing Orchestra does a metallic swing or a swinged metal. Or neither of them and simply swing with a distorted guitar that on many occasions takes such a secondary role that it seems that it is only there as a pretext to continue calling it “metal”. If you get distracted, you could well get confused and think that the playlist has gone crazy and now it's Woody Herman or Benny Goodman ... But you have to be fair when speaking, DSO does it very well. They come and go from classic swing to aggressive, well-struck riffs. They do this especially in Pandora’s Piñata. As an example I can mention Black Box Messiah, Exit Strategy of a Wrecking Ball and Kevlar Sweethearts, pieces in which the mixture of elements appears in an unmistakable way.</div>

<div class="pull-right">Diablo Swing Orchestra es una banda experimental en ese sentido; juega con toda clase de instrumentos y sonidos, de géneros distintos. Incluyen en sus piezas musicales instrumentos convencionales del metal (guitarra distorsionada, bajo, batería) e instrumentos nada comunes en el mismo (violines, trombones, atabales, trompetas, flautas, clarinetes). El resultado es un sonido heavy metal-swing-neoclásico, donde el swing es el que resalta, tanto que no sé si Diablo Swing Orchestra hace un swing metalizado o un metal swingeado. O ninguno de los dos y simplemente hace un swing con una guitarra distorsionada que en muchas ocasiones toma un rol tan secundario que parece que sólo está ahí como pretexto para seguir llamándolo “metal”. Si uno se distrae, pudiera bien confundirse y pensar que la lista de reproducción se ha vuelto loca y ahora suena Woody Herman o Benny Goodman… Pero hay que ser justos al hablar, DSO lo logra muy bien. Van y vienen del swing clásico a los riffs agresivos y bien ponchados. Esto lo logran especialmente en Pandora’s Piñata. Como ejemplo puedo mencionar Black Box Messiah, Exit Strategy of a Wrecking Ball y Kevlar Sweethearts, piezas en las que la mezcla de elementos aparece de manera inconfundible.</div>

Due to the emergence of a new dominant power at the hands of the Church towards the end of the 16th century (possibly the National Protestant Lutheran Church that came to power during the late 16th century) and the popularity of the orchestra, the Church decreed that they were worshipers. del diablo (which is why the modern gang receives its name) ordering its execution, for which its members were forced to live in hiding, acting in secret and with the assistance of the oppressed peasants of the time. The lyrical singing that characterizes the Symphonic has been downplayed in favor of a more natural record. In what is perhaps the most conservative genre of popular music, the most fierce in its paradigms, you always have to recognize the one who dares to step outside the box. Porque técnica y creativamente todos los integrantes muestran un nivel importante, y podrían sin problemas transformar a la banda en una máquina de notas, caer en lo que se le suele recriminar al metal progresivo y al avant-garde mismo: abuso de virtuosismo y “novedad” que vuelve a la pieza una manifestación (aburridísima) del ego más de sonidos para compartir.</div>

<div class="pull-left">Voices are something else special. The one who takes the baton in the voice is Annlouice Loegdlund, a soprano graduated from the Opera House of Sweden. Annlouice shares a microphone with Daniel Hakansson, who is in charge of giving DSO's voices the most rock and metal component of her. Wow! Never come across them before - they certainly have a different sound. I'm really enjoying the tunes you've embedded.

I get what you're saying about the 'ska' element. To me, the trumpets sometime have a hint of the mariachi band about them as well . It's certainly a cool mix - and works well, to my ears.

Listening to that last track with Kristin Evegård, she has a bit of a Kate Bush influence happening at times, again - this works well as an influence. Being a big Kate Bush fan, it's a nice touch point.
