&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This device I have requires the use of saline soaked sponges to apply the current so reminded me of this. Anyways, I haven't quite felt like myself for a while and been feeling perhaps some telltale signs of depression. 

- Not having interest in the things you once enjoyed

- Not feeling quite like myself

- Diminished energy

Etc etc

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Not exactly sure what the catalyst had been but think I have been in denial about it. Anyways, on a whim, I decided to give tDCS a try as I learned that it has helped people with depression but also chronic pain.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The latter is something I definitely deal with daily having degenerative disc disease. I'm also a genetic mutant with [Ehler's Danlos Type II](https://www.omim.org/entry/130010) syndrome which has bearing on my genes related to connective tissue. That was a relatively recent diagnosis and the full impact isn't completely understood. 

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Think it has been a double edged sword in life. Allowed me to be pretty OP (overpowered) when it came to arm wrestling due to the hypermobility of my wrist joint but that same syndrome can lead to early onset arthritis. Just some background and possible factors that may be playing into my current state.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Decided to give this device a try and must say I am impressed by the effect after just one application. I was singing, dancing and more playful with my kiddos. I probably looked something like 'ol Homer here.

Does this dramatic effect mean that perhaps I am clinically depressed? Maybe. 

Should I still see a doc? Probably. 

Is anything in this post medical advice? No. 

I just wanted to share my shocking experience.
