The question of what is right and what is wrong is always up to a matter of debate.
In some ways, I could be considered a moral relativist. What is right to me is wrong to someone else. The same goes for all civilizations of the past. Throughout history there are many cultures that have had many questionable activities. It was once considered very wrong to question the authority of the church. Many scientists were burned alive for their beliefs. Cecco dβ Ascoli was burnt alive in 1327 for suggesting men may live on the other side of the world. According to society at the time this action was βRightβ. How dare he go against religious doctrine of the time? Giordano Bruno also suffered the same fate in 1600 for suggesting that the earth goes around the sun.

In the western world, we try to embrace science
Those barbaric acts are definitely wrong according to our point of view. But some of the things we do are wrong according to my point of view and to others it is right. For one thing the news has made us believe in a two party system and pushes it down our throats as if there are only two parties to choose from. People generally thing this is right, but I think this is wrong. Therefore Right and Wrong is based on our own perception. In society the norm is right, and every other belief is wrong.

What is Beauty?

This is question belongs to the category of right and wrong, or good and evil.
The truth is that it is entirely up for debate. I have noticed that I will point out to a friend how awesome I think a painting is. Their response is that it is ok, with no enthusiasm, or in some cases they dislike it. Therefore beauty is all in the eye of the beholder.

To me, the most beautiful thing is knowledge and understanding the world around me.
Math and programming are beautiful, although most people would disagree. I also depict art and music as being very attractive as well. Everybody has their own definition of what is beautiful and what is not.

In America, our television and movies tell us what beauty is and is not.
It is hard to keep an open mind if you spend more than a few hours a week watching the modern sitcoms and movies. They constantly bombard you with their idea of beauty should be, and people try their hardest to emulate it. This leads to shallow people and shallow relationships.
