**My brief information about Lake Turgoyak.**
Lake Turgoyak is one of the most favorite vacation spots. Its banks are built up with sanatoriums, boarding houses and recreation centers. There are so many trails around the lake that you can really get lost on them! It is here that you can see the unique Ural landscapes, where there are beautiful beaches, pine forests, and steep rocks descending directly to the water of the lake. But the main thing is air! It is simply impossible for them to breathe, especially after urban pollution.
**Моя краткая справка про озеро Тургояк.**
Озеро Тургояк – одно из самых любимых мест отдыха. Его берега застроены санаториями, пансионатами и базами отдыха. Вокруг озера проложено столько троп, что на них можно реально заблудиться! Именно здесь можно увидеть уникальные уральские пейзажи, где есть и прекрасные пляжи, и сосновые боры, и крутые скалы, спускающиеся прямо к воде озера. Но главное – это воздух! Им просто невозможно надышаться, особенно это хорошо чувствуется после городской загрязненности.
As it was previously told us by local old-timers. In fact, there are several different versions of the name of the lake. But the closest thing, it seems to me, is the term from the Bashkir words: turg - "place of honor" and yak - "elevation". In the local vernacular (pronunciation) it sounds like this: "Turge-yak-kul", which means "lake", or a high lake! It is this combination of words that best suits the name of the lake. But this is my opinion, maybe I'm wrong? The lake, and the surroundings, are full of fabulous wonders! And I, telling the students the legends about the lake, all the time tried to convey to them that they literally by a lucky chance got to the earthly paradise! No less than that. And when you start showing them everything around and telling them, giving examples that are right there, then everyone, without exception, is delighted.
Как было ранее нам рассказано местными старожилами. На самом деле существует несколько различных версий названия озера. Но самое близкое, как мне кажется – это слагаемое от башкирских слов: тург – «почетное место» и як – «возвышение». На местном народном наречии (произношении) звучит так: «Турге-як-куль», что означает «озеро», либо высокое озеро! Именно такое сочетание слов более всего подходит к названию озера. Но это мое мнение, может быть, я и ошибаюсь? Озеро, да и окрестности полны сказочных чудес! А я, рассказывая ученикам легенды об озере, все время старался им донести то, что они буквально по счастливой случайности попали в земной рай! Не менее того. И когда начинаешь им показывать все вокруг и рассказывать, приводя примеры, которые тут же и находятся – то все без исключения приходят в восторг.

There is a beautiful old Bashkir legend about the origin of Lake Turgoyak.
Saint Fakhrislam lived among the Bashkirs. He walked around the entire Bashkir land once and saw that there was no truth and justice on it. The Bashkirs do not live according to the laws of Allah: the rich offend the poor, the poor dumb cattle, the cattle trample the small worm - there is no peace on earth, there is no happiness. And Fakhrislam could not do anything with people. He struck the ground with his staff in anger, - a deep hole was made between the mountains. He entered a high mountain and looked into the distance: what else awaits the Bashkir land. And he sees Fakhrislam - greedy hordes of conquerors are moving from west to south, they hold death in their hands, fire runs ahead of them. The holy man saw this and wept bitterly. His pure tears flowed down like rivers and filled a deep hole to the top. This is how the sacred lake Turgoyak was formed!
**Моя краткая справка про озеро Тургояк.**
Есть красивая старинная башкирская легенда о возникновении озера Тургояк.
Жил среди башкир святой Фахрислам. Обошёл он раз всю башкирскую землю и увидел, что нет на ней правды и справедливости. Живут башкиры не по законам Аллаха: богатый обижает бедного, бедный скотину бессловесную, скотина топчет червяка малого – нет мира на земле, нет счастья. И ничего Фахрислам поделать с людьми не мог. Ударил он в гневе посохом о землю, – между гор глубокая яма сделалась. Вошёл он на гору высокую и смотрит вдаль: что ещё ждёт землю башкирскую. И видит Фахрислам – с запада на юг движутся жадные полчища завоевателей, в руках они смерть держат, впереди них огонь бежит. Увидел это святой человек и горько заплакал. Чистые слёзы его реками потекли вниз и наполнили доверху яму глубокую. Так образовалось священное озеро Тургояк!
