Filipino Superstitions Beliefs that Still Adopt by Some Filipino's

These are beliefs or opinions that have been transmitted from parents to their children.

Filipinos are fond of following tradition and traditions. They also tend to believe in superstitions.

At the kitchen:

Do not sing in front of the stove - something bad happens.
Do not sing in the dining room - symbol of disrespect.
It's impossible to play the fire - the eye can blur.
The dishes should not be shattered on the day of the occasion - this is a symbol of misfortune.

In Marriage:

Wedding dresses can not be fitted- Wedding may not be possible
It is impossible for a couple to meet before the wedding day - one of them may die.
The woman must go to the man out of the church - so he will not be underestimated.
When raining on the wedding day - symbol of tribute.

"Friday the 13th" - be careful that day because something can happen bad will happen to you.
at three o'clock in the morning - there may be a visit to you. Awakening of the spirits.
When you see a head - she can die (it can be prevented just to put her clothes on the ground)

How can you see headache?  I do not understand this.

Superstitious beliefs are just that and there's no truth in those.

that must be head only sorry wrong type...yes that are non scientific proof beliefs but some Filipinos are still doing it especially the wedding beliefs.

Oh, I see.  This reminds me of a classmate seeing a fellow classmate without head.  I don't know if it was her imagination or not but it scared her so bad.

one of the first principles to remember is that there is much good in every culture, and simply because something is different from our ways it is not necessarily wrong. We need to understand people’s beliefs thoroughly and then to build upon them to bring meaningful change.
