<p><div class="text-justify"> Los paisajes venezolanos son muy diversos, aunque sus playas destacan mundialmente por su encanto, típico del Caribe. En esta oportunidad quiero llevarlos a conocer un poco Cayo Muerto, una isla cercana a Chichiriviche; en el estado Falcón, que hace parte del Parque Nacional Morrocoy. El viaje en lancha es de aproximadamente 5 minutos desde el malecón, después de disfrutar de los mágicos azules y turquesas del mar, que se fusionan con el blanco de la espuma marina, se comienzan a ver los toldos instalados en las blancas arenas y las grandes palmeras que enmarcan el paisaje.</div></p>

Tal como lo hice en este viaje, disfrutando de un día espectacular con mis familiares, comiendo pescado frito con tostones y de una piña colada de otro nivel. Cayo Muerto tiene una variedad de restaurantes que te ofrecen desde pescado hasta ostras y otros productos del mar, esto sin olvidar las populares empanadas, perfectas para cualquier momento del día. </div></p>

Just as I did on this trip, enjoying a spectacular day with my family, eating fried fish with tostones and a piña colada of another level. Cayo Muerto has a variety of restaurants offering everything from fish to oysters and other seafood, not to mention the popular empanadas, perfect for any time of the day. </div></p>

 ## <p><div class="text-justify">¿Por qué Cayo Muerto?  | Why Dead Key?</div></p>

<p><div class="text-justify">A primera vista, esta encantadora isla nos atrapa con la intensidad de sus azules, lo que no pensamos es que esconde un historia bastante trágica que le da su nombre. Según cuentan sus habitantes, hace muchísimos años los indígenas de la zona llevaban a sus víctimas a este lugar para ser sacrificados, luego de tantas muertes que supuestamente se produjeron en esta isla, con el tiempo recibió el nombre de Cayo Muerto.</div></p>

## <p><div class="text-justify">Parque Nacional Morrocoy| Morrocoy National Park</div></p>
<p><div class="text-justify">El Parque nacional Morrocoy; declarado así el 26 de mayo de 1974,  está ubicado en el litoral más oriental del estado Falcón y en el noroeste del Golfo Triste; cerca de las poblaciones de Boca de Aroa, Tucacas, Sanare, Chichiriviche, Flamenco y Tocuyo de la Costa. Se compone de una zona de manglares, islotes, cayos, entre los que destacan: Muerto, Las Ánimas, Peraza, Borracho, Sombre, Sal, entre otros. Entre las playas de arenas blancas tenemos: Punta Brava, Mero,Playuela, Mayorquina, Playuelita, Norte y otros bajos sin orilla donde destacan Los Juanes, Tucupido y Bajo Caimán.</div></p>

> <p><div class="text-justify">Morrocoy National Park, declared as such on May 26, 1974, is located on the easternmost coast of Falcon State and in the northwest of the Golfo Triste, near the towns of Boca de Aroa, Tucacas, Sanare, Chichiriviche, Flamenco and Tocuyo de la Costa. It consists of an area of mangroves, islets, keys, among which are: Muerto, Las Animas, Peraza, Borracho, Sombre, Sal, among others. Among the white sand beaches we have: Punta Brava, Mero, Playuela, Mayorquina, Playuelita, Norte and other shallows without shore where Los Juanes, Tucupido and Bajo Caimán stand out. </div></p>

<p><div class="text-justify">La temperatura es relativamente uniforme durante el año entre 27 y 35 °C, siendo el hábitat perfecto para especies como: el pelícano, el águila pescadora, la tortuga carey, el caimán de la costa, el pez sapo, cazón, sardina, el jurel, el corocoro, la picúa, la cachama negra, la ostra de mangle, liebres marinas, quigua, 2 tipos de langostas Panulirus argus -Panulirus grettatus, cangrejos azules y rojos, jaibas, entre otras especies. Un dato maravilloso es que en este parque encontramos 4 especies de manglares: mangle rojo, mangle negro, mangle blanco, mangle de botoncillo; los manglares constituyendo así la vegetación o el paisaje vegetal dominante. </div></p>
