¡Saludos Comunidad! En el reto de esta semana quiero hablarles sobre una estrategia que he estado aplicando con el Splinter de Muerte. En partidas con la condición de batalla: “Born Again”, y un límite de maná bajo. La cual consiste en aprovechar el hecho de que todos los monstruos tienen la habilidad para revivir, y tomar ventaja de ello mediante el uso de las habilidades: “Bloodlust” y “Martyr”. Las cartas clave para llevar a cabo esta estrategia son: “Usut”, que es del tipo Legendario, y pertenece a la edición Reward-Soulbound / Chaos Legión. Y “Venari Marksrat”,  que es del tipo Común, y pertenece a la edición Reward-Soulbound / Chaos Legión.

Usut es un monstruo interesante. Desde su nivel 1 cuenta con buenos atributos, y las habilidades: “Flying” y “Bloodlust”. En su nivel 2 adquiere 1 punto más de vida, y la habilidad: “Oppress”. Aunque su coste de maná es elevado, puede ser una buena opción en partidas con un límite de maná bajo. Como juego en la liga de Plata en el formato Moderno, lo ideal sería usar esta carta en su nivel 2 pero como sólo poseo 1 copia, la uso en su nivel 1. Sin embargo, su desempeño ha sido muy bueno.  Mi estrategia con esta carta consiste en usarla en partidas con un límite de maná  bajo. En conjunto con otras cartas que posean la habilidad “Martyr”, la combinación de las habilidades: “Bloodlust” y “Martyr” pueden darnos una gran ventaja en este tipo de batallas, ya que por lo general los monstruos que se utilizan cuentan con poca vida, lo que permite activar la habilidad “Bloodlust” con mayor facilidad. Cabe destacar que la presencia de la condición de batalla “Born Again”, nos permitirá activar las habilidades: “Bloodlust” y “Martyr” al menos 2 veces por monstruo.

¡Pasemos a la Batalla! Como les comenté anteriormente, mi estrategia consiste en tomar ventaja en la partida mediante las habilidades: “Bloodlust” y “Martyr”.  Y para ello, usé al Splinter de Muerte. En la siguiente imagen pueden observar las condiciones de la partida.

Usé a Thaddius Brood como invocador con el propósito de tomar ventaja de los debuff que aplica al enemigo. En la Primera posición usé a Venari Marksrat con la finalidad de tomar ventaja en la partida mediante su habilidad “Martyr”, y además dar tiempo para que “Usut” ubicado en la Segunda posición, active su habilidad “Bloodlust”. El potencial de esta estrategia radica en que gracias a la presencia de la condición de batalla: “Born Again”. Tanto la habilidad “Martyr” como “Bloodlust” se activarán 2 veces por monstruos, lo que implica una gran ventaja en el desarrollo de la batalla. Ya que por lo general en este tipo de partidas se utilizan monstruos con poca vida, lo que permite activar el “Bloodlust” con más facilidad.

En el turno 19 de la ronda 1, Venari Marksrat fue abatido por Xenith Archer. A esta altura de la batalla, su habilidad “Martyr” se había activado 2 veces. Y Usut también había activado su habilidad “Bloodlust” varias veces. La estrategia funcionaba bien, y ahora le tocaba a Usut enfrentar al resto de la composición enemiga.

>On turn 19 of round 1, Venari Marksrat was shot down by Xenith Archer. At this point in the battle, his "Martyr" ability had been activated 2 times. And Usut had also activated his "Bloodlust" ability several times. The strategy was working well, and now it was Usut's turn to face the rest of the enemy composition.

En el turno 1 de la ronda 4, Usut abatió a Ant Miners. El enemigo ya sólo contaba con 3 monstruos de los cuales sólo 1 podía atacar. Los atributos de Usut seguían aumentando gracias a la estrategia. El rumbo de la partida se tornaba a mi favor.

>On turn 1 of round 4, Usut shot down Ant Miners. The enemy now had only 3 monsters of which only 1 could attack. Usut's attributes continued to increase thanks to the strategy. The course of the game was turning in my favor.

En el turno 1 de la ronda 6, Usut abatió a Xenith Archer. Su daño mágico ya estaba por sobrepasar los 10 puntos. En el turno 1 de la ronda 8, Usut abatió a Blood Maker, ya con esto estaba por sobrepasar los 11 puntos de daño mágico, el enemigo ya sólo contaba con 1 monstruo por lo que el rumbo de la batalla estaba más que definido. Finalmente, en el turno 2 de la ronda 10, Usut abatió a Scorch Fiend, terminando la batalla con una victoria y logrando alcanzar 13 puntos de daño mágico, 12 puntos de velocidad y 20 puntos de vida! Una locura total. ¿Qué hizo la diferencia entre las estrategias? Pues, aunque el enemigo usó una composición relativamente fuerte más que todo por el invocador Yodin Zaku. No incluyó habilidades como: “Martyr”o “Bloodlust” que pudieron haber hecho la diferencia. Además de que no usó un tanque o pseudotanque más fuerte. Lo que resultó en una gran desventaja para él. En las siguientes imágenes pueden observar todo esto.
