Malcolm Gladwell makes an interesting point in the book blink.  Before hiring someone, if you see his room once or once see his place of work i.e. see his study table, then you can tell in 60 seconds whether this person should be hired or not.  How?

 Malcolm Gladwell found in his research that the person who keeps his work place organized becomes easy to be consistent.  You want such people around whose behavior is more likely to be consistent.  But the question is, what is consistency related to keeping the study table clean?
 There are 2 reasons for this.

 **1. Mental Victory**

When you go to organize your office desk or study table at the end of the day, then you get the last mental victory.  You think today was a good day.  It increases self-esteem i.e. self-confidence.  And many studies of psychology tell that consistency also increases with self-esteem.  Your chances of taking correct and difficult decisions increase.

 **2. Less Friction**

 Next day it becomes easy for you to start work.  Because it was seen in the research that 41℅ people believe that due to clutter stress comes on the mind, and stress increases procrastination.  In this case Dr.  Apj. Abdul Kalam Sir was far ahead.  Despite being the President, he used to set his table in the evening and according to the priority of the next day, he would keep the files from top to bottom.  If you do it every day then it will take only 2 days.

 **That's why I would like to give 2 practical tips:**

 **1.** After finishing the work, just organize the table for 2 minutes or remove everything from the table, or else the work to be started the next day, put the documents, reports or books on the table properly.  will work

 **2.** Remove visual disturbance from your visual range. When you sit down to work, only that thing which is very important to you should be in your visual range.  Put everything else inside the box and hide that box inside a table or bed.
