How I became friends with a stranger - while painting on the go

Dear Steemians, Good Afternoon,


*this happened to me last year:*

Something amazing happened to me while I painted on the go. I was working on one of watercolour paintings sitting on a bench in an old street in Valletta and tried to catch the unique feeling with all the amazing historic buildings around. 

After quite some minutes a door to my left opened and an older man dropped out. He looked around and then noticed me. I think he was curious what I did put on the paper. I talked to him explaining my ideas for 15 minutes. Suddenly he asked if I would like to join him inside the building in front (which is a theatre). There is a rehearsal going on and he thinks of giving some inspiration to me with his invitation.

After the rehearsal we kept on talking and much later became friends. Guess what, he was painting ALL rehearsals of the ballet ensemble in this theatre since more than 40 years! We met several more times. When I left to move to another place, he gave me this painting as a gift. I gave two of my watercolour painting to him.

This gift of inspiration is deeply rooted in my heart.
