Checking the ice on the river (24pics)

This walk was made on November 9th. The first real frosts hit, the air temperature dropped to -17 degrees at night and I wanted to check the condition of the river. I knew that the fishermen had already started to go out on the ice to fish. So I wanted to see these fishermen.
the walk started from the back gate of my precinct. There is a small field behind my plot, on which a little alfalfa remains uncut. Through this field, I went to our village road to go along it to the river bays, where ice was definitely going to appear because there is no current there.
Here it is a big bay behind our village. A lot of fishermen have always gathered here to open the "hard water" season. But the condition of this bay is getting worse every year, it is being dragged by sand, and fishing in it has become bad.

@sketch.and.jam, here I am showing you the rosehip again. We have it everywhere.  He will remain so until the spring.

I went on to look at the condition of another gulf.  The river itself has not even thought of being covered with ice, but there is ice along the shore.

Here on the left, I see a "penguin" on the ice. That's what we call fishermen on the ice, who sit on a fishing box over one hole..

Judging by the behavior of these dudes, I realized that they didn't find a good fish, or maybe they didn't catch any fish at all. I know that these people who sit over the hole like that catch small fish: small perch, roach, ruffs. I don't like to sit in one place.

The guys came to the river on this motorcycle. If I remember correctly, this motorcycle is called "Ural", maybe "Dnepr". These were copies of German BMW R71 motorcycles.

And the dude is already frozen. He put on sheepskin mittens. Where are my mittens lying? I don't know. I've lost my entire winter fishing arsenal.

I headed towards the house. I have to walk about 6 km more. Well, on the way back, I still continued to take photos.

At this point, I conclude the story of this walk. I still have 3 km to go. I turned to the river to check another section of the river, but there was ice at most one meter from the shore.
I never got ready to go fishing in the time that has passed since this walk. Every weekend there is some business at home or I need to go somewhere with my family. I stopped being a fisherman altogether.

Но, люди с деньгами осваивают некоторые участки и стоят свои дома. Но часто это двигается очень медленно.
